General Information
The last blood drive of the school year is Friday, April 29. You can sign up in the office or in room 210
(Wedge's room). If you are a 16 year old first time donor then you need to get a green sheet filled out
and signed by your parents. If you are a first time donor older than 16 you need to fill out the sheet but
don't need your parent's signature. Please get those in to Frau Wedge ASAP! Your donation saves
three lives.
The HHS 2016 Revue Show is almost here!!! This year's theme is "Broadway Baby”. The curtain
opens on the show is Friday, April 29 at 7:00 pm and Saturday, April 30 at 7:00 pm. at the new Fine Arts
Auditorium. Tickets are now on sale at the main campus office: $10 Adults, $8 Students. Songs from
South Pacific, Wicked, The Wiz, The Book of Mormon, Hairspray, and many more Broadway Shows will
be featured!
Interested in being an entrepreneur? Calvin College is hosting a conference called Economics of
Entrepreneurship for youth aged 14-17 on July 26 through July 29. Please swing by the Guidance
Office if you are interested in learning more about this great experience.
Students, staff and teachers! Did you collect those unused toiletries over spring break? If you did,
please bring them to room 113 before April 29 and drop them off to donate them to HQGR for homeless
teens in Grand Rapids!

Seniors!! Come to Capfest on Wednesday, April 27th. We're kicking off the "Graduation Season" at 9
am in the cafeteria. We will have breakfast goodies in the cafeteria and your cap and gown orders can
be picked up at the entrance by the bridge. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Muñoz or Mrs.

Students looking for employment…..the Guidance Office has created a Google Doc for job postings that
we are aware of from employers, etc. Go to the Guidance Office webpage and then click on Job
Postings. This document will be updated as we know of positions/training/etc.
Seniors...several scholarships specifically for HHS students have been added to our file. Stop by the
Guidance Office or check out our Scholarship File on the Guidance Office website.
Sports Information
The jv softball team swept Byron Center Friday 4-3 and 8-1. The Eagles were down 1 run in the final
inning before Sydney Burns hit a tying homerun prior to the winning run later scoring. In the second
game Madi Hower pitched a 3-hitter and Bella Johnson paced the offense with her 2nd homerun on the
season to win 8-1.
The Freshman Girls Softball team won the Wayland Tourney Saturday beating Hastings 20-3 and
Grandville 8-5. Kailei Jacobs and Summer Harms pitched well in the first game, while Aleyna Kozak got
the win against Grandville, striking out 7 Bulldogs. Lauren Jahnz had 2 hits in the first game and a big
bunt in the final game. The Eagles are now 10-0.
