DFW Technology Invitational Golf Tournament
Doubles the Funds Raised for STEM Education
DALLAS, TX (December 29, 2015) – More students in the Dallas area can learn about science, technology, engineering and
math (STEM) careers thanks to funds raised at the 2015 DFW Technology Invitational Golf Tournament sponsored by
BravoTECH.
BravoTECH President Andrew C. Jackson presented the DFW Chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM) with a
$10,000 donation check earmarked for the organization’s STEM education initiatives. The presentation was made December 8
at SIM’s annual holiday gathering at the Adolphus Hotel (photo attached).
The money was raised at the fourth annual DFW Technology Invitational Golf Tournament, held in September at the Tribute Golf
Course in The Colony, Texas. This annual event brings IT leaders and vendors from the DFW area together to raise funds for
STEM education. Since the tournament’s founding in 2012, more than $30,000 has been raised for STEM education.
“We’d like to thank our clients and the local IT community for helping us support a great cause,” said Jackson. “The support and
participation of the players, sponsors and donors continue to help make this event a success.”
