Proof-of-citizenship. As of January 1, 2013, Kansas law requires voters registering for the first time in Kansas to provide proof of US citizenship before they may be entered onto the voter rolls. If you were successfully registered to vote before that date and have remained registered, you do not have to prove your US citizenship in order to vote. Submit Proof-of-citizenship within 90 days of your voter application. An exception to the proof-of-citizenship: a recent court decision allows those who registered to vote at the DMV after Jan 1, 2013, but have not provided their proof-of-citizenship, will still have their votes counted for Federal Elections (President, US Senate, US Congress). If those persons do provide their proof-of-citizenship, they will be fully registered to vote in all elections. Proof-ofcitizenship has to be submitted to your County Election Office by the eve before the election in order to allow all votes to count. Check your voter registration online by entering your first and last names and date of birth: https://myvoteinfo.voteks.org/ This site includes the address of your voter registration, polling place, all your districts and your voting history. If you registered to vote after Jan 31 2016, but did not provide your proof-of-citizenship within 90 days, and don't find your name on this website as registered to vote, you may have been disenfranchised for all elections. You need to begin the registration process anew.
