The Ashdown Forest Frenzy Sportive
With InGear Cycles of Forest Row
Sunday 4th October 2015
The Ashdown Forest Frenzy Sportive
InGear Cycles have teamed up with Velopace to create this epic late autumn
sportive, a challenging ride based around the picturesque woodland scenery of
the Ashdown Forest, the training ground of none other than Tour De France stage
winner Sean Yates.
Choose between the short route of 30
miles, with 2,800 feet of climbing, or
really test your legs over the long route –
over 4,500 feet of climbing over 61 miles.
The long route is a punishing ride that
takes on Kidds Hill at just 3 miles in,
then Spring Hill at 15 miles and Black
Hill at 22 miles. Some relief follows with
an undulating 25 miles until the climb up
to Wych Cross before the swift descent
back to Forest Row. This sportive has
everything you could possibly want from
a demanding bike ride - apart from a pro
to pedal your bike for you.

Not quite so much climbing on the short
route but still testing enough. After
30 miles you’ll want to replenish your
energy losses back at base, that’s for
sure.
