Parking Spaces Paint Day
Make plans on spending the day with friends and family at the Parking Space Paint & Tailgate Party on August 15, 2015
from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the BHS student parking lot next to the PAC. This is your opportunity to design and paint your
own personalized cement canvas to help show your Tiger school spirit and class pride! The Parking Lot Paint Party is
sponsored by the Belton High School PTSO. Plan on joining us for a fun filled day with music, a picnic, tailgate games,
and of course painting!
Important Information & Reminders – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!!



To be eligible to personalize a parking space (paint) – you must FIRST purchase a BHS parking lot permit sticker
for the PAC student lot for $30.00. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required at time of
purchase. The privilege of painting your parking space is an additional fee of $45.00 paid to the BHS PTSO.
Spaces are limited to 250 and will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Seniors will be able to purchase a spot
on August 10th from 9-noon. Juniors will be able to purchase a spot on August 11th from 9-noon if any are left
after seniors have an opportunity to purchase on August 10th. Sophomores will be able to purchase a spot on
August 13th from 9-noon if any are left after seniors and juniors have an opportunity.
You will receive two forms to sketch your design on. The same design needs to be on each form, one you will
keep for your records and to review when painting, the other will be turned into the school for design approval.
You will not be allowed to paint a space without PRIOR approval of your design.
Guidelines for Your Design
Think of your space as a t-shirt that you would wear to school. Your spot must meet dress code approval! Keep it
classy! Any design associated with gangs, advertising drugs, alcohol, violence, obscene slogans or symbols, handicap
symbols or symbols that may cause confusion or promote illegal activities will not be allowed or approved. You may
include your name, jersey number, instrument you play, your hobby, famous quotes or slogans and anything unique
to you so as it meets with administration’s approval.
Paint Requirements
All paint will be provided as part of the price you pay for your painted space. We will have a great selection of colors
to choose from. NO OUTSIDE PAINT WILL BE ALLOWED. The use of any unauthorized paint will result in forfeiture of
your space and a $50.00 fee for cleaning. You are only allowed to paint within the marked spot. If any paint is
spilled or is outside of the marked spot it will result in a fine of $50.00.
What to Bring to the Paint Party
Be sure to bring your approved design/sketches with you on paint day. Also, you will be responsible for all paint
brushes, rollers, paints pans, and paint tape. You will want to bring lawn chairs for your family, a canopy, or market
umbrella, sunscreen, ice chests, stencils, rags for cleaning, sacks and bags to dispose of paint, a drop cloth, and paint
clothes. DO NOT BRING ANY KIND OF PAINT, paint sprayers, glitter, or clear coats. Music will be provided, so leave
your radios at home. Various vendors will be selling lunch, snacks, water, snow cones, etc. This will be a really fun
activity for the family and great way to kick off the school year.
This will be the ONLY date that painting will be permitted and only during the designated times. If you are unable to
be there, you may send a family member in your spot to paint. All painting must be complete by 1:00 p.m.
ONLY in the case of rain will an alternate day be announced, which will be August 22nd.
