Y7 LC5 Programme – 2015-2016
Module
This module will focus developing what pupils have learnt
with hobbies and interests, allowing pupils to develop the
information they can give about themselves. Pupils will
look at two different tenses and how these will improve
their work and how opinions can stretch their speaking.
This will culminate in a presentation at the end of LC5.

 Use ‘juego’ and ‘hago’ with time statements

Week 2: The future tense follows a strict pattern.
Pupils will:
 Recall what the future tense is
 Understand the formula to the future tense
 Opinions

 Voy a + infinitive / simple future for higher KGP.
 Porque es + adjectives used for reasons.
Week 3: Opinions are the spice of life.
Pupils will:
 Recall the importance of opinions
 Explore higher level opinions

 Opinion and justification
 Intensifiers
Week 4 –

Week 4: Introducing the conditional tense helps you
make a wish.
Pupils will:
 Understand what the conditional tense is
 Introduce the use of the conditional tense with an
infinitive
 Look at their wishes related to hobbies for the
future
Linguistic features to consider:
 Me gustaría + infinitive
 Me encantaría + infinitive
 Use of negative conditional tense
Week 5 –

Week 5: The use of three tenses is not needed.
Pupils will:
 Highlight the difference between all three tenses
looked at – present, future, conditional
 Explore the use of these in their work
Linguistic features to consider:
 All linguistic features studied in this learning cycle
Week 6/7 –
one hour
per week
Week 6/7 – pupils will focus on a project related to their
favourite hobbies and interests.
Pupils will:
 Pupils will create a keynote that will be presented
in class.
 They will talk about everything they have learnt
over LC4, with a focus on use of tenses and
opinions for higher level understanding.
Eg. Me gusta jugar al rugby porque es interactivo,
también toco la guitarra. Me gustaría jugar al
baloncesto porque este fin de semana voy a tocar
la batería.
This keynote and presentation will be marked according
to a success criteria.
