Learning To Dance In The Rain
Don't let the weather outside get you down - there are
many activities perfect for those April showers. Curl up
with a good book. Spend the day watching all your
favorite movies. Spend the day baking and decorating
a cake just because. Even cook a gourmet meal that
will have you excitedly running around your kitchen for
hours in top chef style. Plus you can bring your family
together during the cooking and for the delicious dinner
that follows. A rainy day at home is ideal for calling up
family members or that college roommate and getting
caught up on their latest life moments. Break out the
box of craft supplies and make cards for loved ones or
dabble in that favorite hobby whether its painting or
scrapbooking. Keep a stash of tie-dying supplies and
pull them out for a colorful day inside. Puzzles, card
games, and board games are often forgotten and can
provide hours of fun: especially charades if you have
enough people. These rainy day activities will have you
happily looking forward to the next downpour.
APARTMENT LIVING
Get The Spacious Closet
You've Always Wanted
Maximize your closet space by storing all your winter clothes! Sort through
your closet and dresser, deciding what you'll keep, toss and donate. The
easiest way to create more space is to get rid of that ugly sweater you
haven't worn in the past two winters. Divide clothing into groups: pack
pants with pants, shirts with shirts, and so on. Pack all these winter items
into airtight bags or plastic containers with lids, ensuring your favorite
winter pieces will remain dust free until you need them again. Clear
storage containers are best as you can easily find the right container of
your winter clothes when winter rolls back around. A surprisingly large
amount of winter outfits and accessories can be safely hidden in containers
under your bed behind the bedskirt. Another great place is in your closet purge the shelves of unwanted items taking up space and purchase large
bins and storage boxes where you can store winter boots and even hats,
gloves, and scarves.
It's definitely starting to be time to make the switch! Bring all your spring
and summer wardrobe to hang front and center in your closet and move all
your winter coats to the back or to another closet completely. By being
organized and removing clutter, you'll love picking out your outfit that
much more each day!
FUN FACT: There are more plastic flamingos in the United States than real ones.

You may be wondering just how to deal with that snoring roommate. While
you may have the urge to throw pillows at your noisily sleeping roommate,
this ultimately is not the most helpful solution. The snoring noise is produced
by vibrations that are caused due to soft tissues and relaxed throat muscles.
There are lifestyle changes snorers can make to cure them from snoring.
Losing weight reduces the fatty tissue present in the airways and will help
cure the snoring. Consuming alcohol can lead to enhanced muscle
relaxation during sleep which causes the airways to collapse, so encourage
your roommate to avoid alcohol before bed. Likewise, no medications that
make them drowsy. Smoking also loosens the muscles, so no cigarettes
either.
Suggest your roomie sleep on his or her side, as sleeping on one's back
may narrow the airways too much. Nasal strips help keep open their
nostrils, enabling them to breathe more easily. Try suggesting a steam
inhalation to clear any nasal congestion from allergies. Snoring masks
(CPAP masks) may be the answer depending on the severity. Since snoring
could be the sign of a more serious health problem your roomie should
consult with their doctor. More often, it's simply a social problem that
causes you to lose a good night of rest. Try changing up your sleeping
arrangements, or try falling asleep first. All else fails - invest in earplugs!
