300 YEARS OF COUNTY POLITICAL LIFE
he Poughkeepsie Journal is delighted to be
working with the Office of the County Historian,
Dutchess County Tourism and noted historians
throughout our county to produce this beautiful,
heirloom-quality, coffee-table book. This one-of-akind book will feature images from every corner of the
county and pieces written by more than 20 historians.

We are thrilled to give our readers the chance to participate in this unique project. If you have photographs
or memorabilia that meet the criteria at right, please
bring them to one of our scanning sessions listed here,
or submit them online at dutchess.pictorialbook.com.
Because we expect a large turnout, we advise you stop
by the Poughkeepsie Journal office to pick up a photo
submission form or download the form at the URL
below right. Please print and fill out one form for each
photo you’d like to submit.
What We’re Looking For
❏ Photos depicting political life, public service
and government agencies, such as: government buildings, government officials and activities, law enforcement and fire departments,
parades and celebrations, political rallies, etc.
❏ Photos taken in Dutchess County from the
1800s through today.
❏ Memorabilia such as political buttons,
banners and pennants, certificates, advertisements, posters, postcards, etc.
❏ One submission form per item.
❏ 10 photos per family. Call 360-687-6731
to set up an appointment if you’re a private
collector with a sizeable collection.
