(Employment & Training, Supportive Services, and Outreach) and outside of Veterans Inc. (Department of Veterans’ Services (DVS), Department of Labor (DOL) and Veterans Administration (VA)) to better the lives of the veteran and their families within our agency guidelines. Required qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree in the human services field, experience in case management, outreach, and/or services to the homeless, computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, valid driver’s license, and be unopposed to travel. This individual would be based out of the New Bedford location and all duties would take place throughout the cities and towns located in the Southeastern, Massachusetts region. Required qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree in the human services field, experience in employment training, recruitment, counseling, outreach and/or services to the homeless, computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, valid driver’s license, and unopposed to travel. This is a full time position with full benefits (health, dental, vision, 403B, paid time off, short/long term disability and life insurance, etc.) The annual salary is $38,000 and is non-negotiable. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Grant Writer – Worcester, MA This individual would be responsible for but not limited to serving as lead writer on major public funding opportunities while closely coordinating efforts with the Director of Development. Responsible for researching, developing, and writing proposals, concept papers, grant solicitations, and other written materials to secure major funding for program support and capital projects. All work must have a focus on state and federal grants while maintaining accurate progress reports for project, which includes submitting grants in a timely matter, well before deadlines. Must be able to identify and develop sources to support existing and planned program activities; acquiring and maintaining sound knowledge and understanding of the services of Veterans Inc., and using that information to better comprehend all projects and programs for which grants will be sought and to recommend seeking of grants based on our mission; complies with all grants reporting as required. Researching and maintaining statistics and current data relevant to funding opportunities. Required qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree; five years’ experience with grant writing required with proven track record of grants awarded. Experience responding to Federal Requests for Proposals a plus. Experience with data collection and analysis; strong written communication skills and ability to write clear and persuasive proposals; attention to detail; able to work well both independently and in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines. In addition, this individual would be a member of the (1 of 2) Veteran Outreach Team and assist these veterans with coordination of services including: benefits counseling, housing, employment & training, and referral resources. Required qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in the human services field, experience in case management, outreach, and/or services to the homeless, computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, valid driver’s license, and be unopposed to travel. Beneficial, but not required, credentials include knowledge and previous use of Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) and OEF/OIF veteran status (preferred but not required.) This is a full time position with full benefits (health, dental, vision, 403B, paid time off, short/long term disability and life insurance, etc.) The annual salary is $38,000 and is non-negotiable. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Residential Advisor (RA) – Shrewsbury, MA and Worcester, MA This individual would be responsible for, but not limited to, assisting the Lead RA Supervisors by providing the residential population and candidates for admission with oversight of day-to-day activities. Ensuring that residents comply with all rules and regulations in accordance with policy and procedure standards. Overseeing and assisting with the overall upkeep and maintenance of each facility. Responsible for the upkeep, cleanliness, and maintenance of all company vehicles. Required qualifications for this position include a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and at least beginner experience in Microsoft Office Suite. Attention to detail, great communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to multi-task are all very important attributes this individual should have. There are opportunities for this position as a full-time or per diem employee. The hourly rate, depending on the shift, is as follows and is non-negotiable: 1st Shift (7:00am to 3:00pm)- $13.00, 2nd Shift (3:00pm to 11:00pm)- $13.75, 3rd Shift (11:00pm to 7:00am)- $14.25. The full-time position includes full benefits (health, dental, vision, 403B, paid time off, short/long term disability and life insurance, etc.) The per diem position is on an “as needed” basis. This means there is no guarantee of a certain number of hours from week to week and there are no benefits. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Site Coordinator – Bradford, VT This individual would be responsible for, but not limited to, fulfilling the mission of Veterans Inc. by offering care and rehabilitation to veterans and their families in-need. Duties include overseeing a 15-bed male residential housing program for previously homeless veterans in the Bradford, VT area. Initial intake and evaluation of applicants, case management counseling, and referral to any other services on an as needed basis. Participation in consistent and efficient record keeping, maintenance of statistical client data (weekly, monthly, and annually), and partaking in annual inspections are all a must. Required qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree in the human services field, experience in program management, case management, substance abuse prevention, outreach, and/or services to the homeless. Must be computer proficient, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite, hold a valid driver’s license, and be unopposed to travel. Beneficial, but not required, credentials include knowledge and previous use of Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS.) Provide outreach services to very low-income Veteran families’ throughout Springfield, MA/Western, MA to promote housing stability. Responsibilities include outreach and case management services to assist participants in obtaining VA benefits and other public benefits such as health care services, daily living services, personal financial planning services, transportation, fiduciary and payee services, legal services, child care, housing counseling services, and temporary financial assistance. Must complete on-going record keeping and maintenance of statistical data. Must also participate in annual inspections conducted by funding agencies. Required qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree, experience in counseling, substance abuse prevention, and outreach and/or services to the homeless, computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, hold a valid driver’s license, and be unopposed to travel.
