January 2016 – High Point, NC – High end occasional furniture manufacturer Jonathan Charles debuts
a new division, JC Edited. Comprised of four collections in distinct styles – Simply Elegant (contemporary),
Comfortably Modern (casual), Classically Formal (traditional), Casually Country (rustic) – JC Edited
represents Jonathan Charles’ value entry price point division and operates separately as its own entity. “JC
Edited captures the essence of Jonathan Charles in a more approachable and simplified manner for priceconscious consumers,” Jonathan explains. “We are still keeping our core values, craftsmanship by hand
and attention to detail, in each JC Edited design, so the end user will still have a genuine Jonathan Charles
piece.” Marketed as “prized possessions at valued price points,” JC Edited is intended as an entry-level
purchase for first-time Jonathan Charles buyers or homeowners looking to furnish their vacation homes.
Simply Elegant lends understated elegance to a room with its refined silhouettes and antique metallic
finishes. The 12-piece collection of contemporary iron accent tables offers two gilt finishes – silver and gold
– and three glass surface options – clear, antique mirror, and black. With eight products in the collection,
from accent tables to bar and dining pieces, Comfortably Modern is identified by sweeping sabre legs,
rich American walnut veneers, and stainless steel accents. The collection embodies sophistication with an
affordable sensibility.
The highlight of Casually Country is the acacia wood offered in two rustic finishes - gray and country walnut
- that lends a relaxed yet refined look and feeling to the 50 pieces in the collection. Traditional but not
ornamental, Classicially Formal is comprised of eight products that reference Old World techniques on a
modernized canvas via rich, lightly distressed wood finishes.

Jonathan Charles Fine Furniture is the vision of Jonathan Sowter,
an English furniture designer who excels at the art of fine antique
