Lowry AFB Pool – Altitude 5,400 ft.

FACILITY:
The pool is six lanes, 50 Meter (OUTDOOR) pool with non-turbulent
markers. Competition Course has not been certified in accordance with
104.2.2C (4). Depth turn end 4.2 feet; start end 12 feet. The deck on each side
of the pool is marked with a yellow line creating a space between the line and
the edge of the pool for officials to walk the side of the pool when officiating.
Coaches, athletes, and spectators are asked to stay clear of that area while the
competition is taking place.
Five lanes may be used for competition with one lane for continuous warmup/warm-down.
TIMING:
Colorado Timing Systems with touch pads, back-up buttons and electronic
scoreboard. Hy-Tek Meet Manager software.
RULES:
Current USA and Colorado Swimming rules shall govern the conduct of the
meet.
Age of swimmer is determined as of July 6, 2013.
At a sanctioned competitive event, USA Swimming athlete members must
be under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during
warm-up, competition, and warm-down. The Meet Director or Meet
Referee may assist the swimmer in making arrangements for such
supervision, but it is the swimmer’s responsibility to make such
arrangements prior to the start of the meet.
Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming
member-coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must
start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a membercoach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal
guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.
Swimmers are limited to four (4) individual events.
All events will be pre-seeded except for the 400, 800, 1500 Freestyle
events, and 400 IM which will be deck seeded and swum fastest to
slowest alternating women men heats. These events will require the
following:
The individuals to provide timer and counters.
Positive check-in 1 hour before the event.
Swimmers who check in for the distance events and fail to swim may
be barred from further competition at the discretion of the meet referee.

these events (e.g. men’s 200 breast abutting 400 IM).
Swimmers entering the meet with falsified times may be barred from
competition.
All events are timed finals.
There will be no refunds if a session is cut short due to weather.
The meet referee will be the final authority for conduct of the meet.
ELIGIBILITY:
Open to all USA Swimming member athletes holding current 2013 USA
Swimming membership card. Any swimmer that appears on the CSI
exceptions report without registration must be prepared to show their current
USA membership card. Swimmers not registered in the CSI database will be
required to register and pay at the meet before they are allowed to warm-up
and compete. A surcharge for deck registration will apply, $28.00 year round
and $15.00 for seasonal plus the normal registration fee. No exhibition
swimming will be allowed. In addition no unattached swimmers will be
permitted to swim on relays.
ENTRY FEES:
$4.25 per individual event ($0.75 applied to CSI Splash fund)
$10 per relay entry
$5.00 surcharge per swimmer
$10.00 deck/late entry per event plus surcharge if not already entered in the
meet. Swimmers not already in the meet must present proof of current
registration.

ENTRIES:
The meet may be limited to approximately 200 swimmers or
approximately 2,000 individual splashes based upon a first come-first
served basis of entries. Once the four hour per session timeline has been
reached, no further entries will be accepted. No team will be split unless
they express that desire.
Entries will be accepted via e-mail (preferred) or CD using Hy-Tek
software. Non-Hy-Tek entries will be accepted in Word, PDF, or e-mail
format. When submitting entries in any of these formats, please include
name, age (as of the first day of the meet), USA Swimming ID, and team
code. Teams sending five (5) or more swimmers will be assessed a $25.00
surcharge if entries are not submitted using Hy-Tek software.
Please include the coaches’ name, address, e-mail and phone number
with all entries. If you wish to confirm receipt of entries, please contact
entry chair via e-mail only.
All entry times must be in LONG COURSE METERS. The CSI Meet
Verification Form must accompany entries.
No-Time (NT) Entries will not be accepted. It is recommended the
coach obtain entry times during practice that are well within the ability of
the swimmer.

ENTRY
DEADLINE:
All entries must be in the hands of the HRA entry chairperson by Monday,
July 1, 2013. Full payment for email entry must be postmarked within 48
hours of confirmation and acceptance of entries.

SCORING:
There will be no team or individual scoring.
AWARDS:
There will be no team or individual awards.
CHECK IN:
There is NO check-in except for distance events referenced in Rules section.
Report no shows to the Meet Referee.
REPORTING LATE This meet will enforce timely reporting to the block area and responding
TO THE BLOCKS: promptly to signals and commands as follows: When the swimmers and
officials are ready, the Meet Referee shall signal with an out stretched arm to
the starter that the swimmers are under the Starter control (102.14.2B).
Swimmers stepping up late after the Referee has signaled with an outstretch
arm releasing the field to the Starter may at the discretion of the referee be
barred from competing in that event. It is the responsibility of every swimmer
and coach to ensure that they report to the starting area in a timely fashion and
respond to all signals and commands of meet officials promptly.
WARUMUP
PROCEDURES:
Warm-up will be conducted in accordance with Colorado Swimming
Inc. procedures. Starts may only be practiced with one-way swimming. Each
swimmer must enter the pool feet first during the warm up period unless
starting under the supervision of a coach. Backstroke starts are NOT allowed
during general warm-up. Coaches will be responsible for the conduct and
safety of their swimmers.
No equipment may be used during the warm up periods including but not
limited to fins, paddles, kick boards, pull buoys, cords for assisted or resisted
cords.
Warm up may be divided into two (2) 25-minute sessions at the discretion of
the Meet Director and Meet Referee. HRA will post the start times on our web
site at hra.usswim.net by noon on Wednesday, July 3, and at the pool prior to
the start of the warm-up periods. Each session will consist of 15 minutes of
General Warm Up and 10 minutes of Specific Warm Up. The competition
pool will be closed 10 minutes before the start of the session.

START TIMES:
Meet start times may be adjusted based on the total number of entrants per
session. HRA will post the start times on our web site at hra.usswim.net by
noon on Wednesday, July 3. It is the swimmers and coaches responsibility
to verify start and warm-up times.
CONCESSIONS:
Concessions and refreshments will be available.
NOTICE:
This meet will enforce USA Swimming Rule 102.8.1 regarding appropriate
swimwear. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including cell phones, is
not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms. No on deck
photography from behind the starting platforms will be permitted. Except
where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits
other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is
prohibited.
