1. An adjective is a word that describes the noun in a sentence.

3. Verb: A verb is a ‘doing’ word. It is the part of speech that describes an action (physical or mental) or a state of being. For example: The boy is running in the garden.
I thought about my holiday. (The word thought is a verb – it describes the mental action of think.)
It will be sunny. (The word will is a verb – it describes the state of being.)
Granny sells tomatoes. (The word sells is a verb. It describes the physical activity to sell.)
