On Sunday, Jan. 24, Brown takes the AAA Travel Stage at 1 p.m. at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Downtown Columbus. She’ll share wild tales from the road and describe what it’s like to travel in front of the camera with EXPO guests, taking audience questions and signing autographs following her appearance. Brown's easy‐going, playful personality and on‐site filming instills trust in her viewers and encourages them to explore new places. She credits the people and culture of a destination with fueling her passion for travel, saying she loves to introduce audiences to those aspects of a place over the more obvious “must‐see” tourist attractions. Brown’s newest show, “50/50,” debuted just last month on the Travel Channel and features crazy adventures with her up‐for‐anything co‐host Chris Grundy. The pair seeks out unsuspecting people on the street and asks them a simple question: “Can you leave right now?” If they say "yes," it’s wheels up on an unforgettable two‐day vacation worth $50,000. Over the last 13 years, Brown has explored the world, visiting more than 220 cities and 49 countries. Her TV career began with “Great Vacation Homes," which offered an insider’s view into vacation home ownership. In 2008, Brown's adventures continued with the installment of two new “Passport” series. She takes viewers on short getaways in “Samantha Brown: Passport to Great Weekends” and then heads overseas for “Samantha Brown: Passport to China.” More recently, Brown co‐hosted “The Trip: 2014”, a sweepstakes event that took viewers on a trek though Spain and Morocco. In addition to Brown’s appearance, the AAA Travel Stage will feature round‐the‐clock activities, presentations and entertainment, making the EXPO a destination in itself. Favorite travel spots come alive with engaging, helpful and educational interactive experiences. The EXPO also offers different zones highlighting regional destinations, so visitors can quickly and easily find the ideal getaway for their interests, lifestyle and budget. Guests will also have exclusive access to EXPO‐only deals, so travelers are encouraged to bring a calendar and a form of payment and be ready to book on the spot. The Great Vacations Travel EXPO, presented by AAA, opens Friday, Jan. 22, and runs through Sunday, Jan. 24, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Downtown Columbus. Hours are Friday, noon to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $8 at the door or at any AAA Ohio Auto Club store. AAA members who show their AAA card receive 50%‐off admission. Children ages 16 and under are admitted at no charge.
