Education enter into an executive session for the purpose of discussing legal
and personnel matters. No official action was taken.

We held the annual District Reception to celebrate retirees and silver
anniversaries.

H.S. Graduation will be held at Hofstra. H.S. Graduation and Moving Up
Ceremonies for all elementary schools will take place on June 25. Middle

staff with the availability of an Athletic Trainer to provide
consultant services,

Tax Anticipation Notes (herein called “Notes”) of Syosset Central School District in the
County of Nassau, New York (herein called “District”), in the principal amount of not to
Exceed $30,000,000, and any notes in renewal thereof, are hereby authorized to be issued
pursuant To the provisions of Sections 24.00 and 39.00 of the Local Finance Law,
constituting Chapter 33-a of the Consolidated Laws of the State of New York (herein
called “Law”).
The following additional matters are hereby determined and declared:
The Notes shall be issued in anticipation of the collection of real estate taxes to be levied
for school purposes for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2014 and ending June 30,
2015, and the proceeds of the Notes shall be used only for the purposes for which said
taxes are levied.
The Notes shall mature within the period of one year from the date of their issuance.
The Notes are not issued in renewal of other notes.
The total amount of such taxes remains uncollected at the date of adoption of this
resolution.
The Notes hereby authorized shall contain the recital of validity prescribed by Section
52.00 of the Law and shall be general obligations of the District, and the faith and credit
of the District are hereby pledged to the punctual payment of the principal of and interest
on the Notes and unless the Notes are otherwise paid or payment provided for, an amount
sufficient for such payment shall be inserted in the budget of the District and a tax
sufficient to provide for the payment thereof shall be levied and collected.
Subject to the provisions of this resolution and the Law, and pursuant to Sections 50.00,
56.00, 60.00 and 61.00 of the Law, the power to sell and issue the Notes authorized
pursuant hereto, or any renewals thereof, and to determine the terms, form and contents,
including the manner of execution, of such Notes, and to execute arbitrage certifications
relative thereto, is hereby delegated to the President of the Board of Education, the chief
fiscal officer of the District.
The Notes shall be executed in the name of the District by the manual signature of the
President of the Board of Education, the Vice President of the Board of Education, the
District Treasurer, the District Clerk, or such other officer of the District as shall be
designated by the chief fiscal officer of the District, and shall have the corporate seal of
the District impressed or imprinted thereon which corporate seal may be attested by the
manual signature of the District Clerk.

AUTHORIZATION TO ESTABLISH LIMIT TO FUND BUDGETARY
RESERVES FOR YEAR ENDING 2013-2014.
WHEREAS,
the Syosset Central School District has enhanced financial and budgetary
stability by the legal establishment of reserves authorized by General
Municipal law, and
WHEREAS,
the Board of Education wishes to continue to provide stability by increasing funds
in the 2014 Capital Reserve not to exceed $5,000,000; in the Workers
Compensation Reserve not to exceed $1,000,000; in the Employee Retirement
System Reserve not to exceed $2,000,000. The exact amounts of such increases
will be determined upon the closing of the financial records, therefore be it.

that the Syosset Central School District approves allotments to the
Reserve funds not to exceed $8,000,000.

AUTHORIZATION FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION AND NURSING
CONTRACT
WHEREAS,
the Syosset Central School District wishes to initiate and/or continue with service
Providers for essential instructional and supplemental special education and
nursing services, including services according to student’s IEPs, that affect the
ongoing operations of the District as per the attachment, and
WHEREAS,
all vendors have been evaluated and all services were carefully selected based
upon student needs, continuity of service, financial and logistical considerations,
therefore be it
RESOLVED,
that the President of the Board of Education is authorized to sign contracts with
the various vendors and that in his absence or unavailability, Dr. Patricia Rufo,
Assistant Superintendent for Business, as the Board’s designee, is authorized to
sign contracts, and be it further
RESOLVED,
that purchase orders for contracts for the 2013-2014 year be issued for amounts
approximating the proposed costs listed. Final determination of certain costs is
made by the State and is subject to change. Resources for the above are within
the General Fund or Special Aid Fund.

WHEREAS,
the Syosset Central School District wishes to accept the donation of flowers, and

the Syosset High School Human Awareness Club wishes to make this donation,

RESOLVED,
that the Syosset Central School District accepts with appreciation the donation of
flowers. Approximate value of thirty dollars ($30.00).
(c-10) ACCEPTANCE OF DONATION
WHEREAS,
the Syosset Central School District wishes to accept the donation
of one hundred, sixty eight dollars and twenty six cents ($168.26), and
WHEREAS,
the Target Take Charge of Education School wishes to make this donation, therefore be it

equipment and books have been determined to be broken, surplus and/or obsolete, and
WHEREAS,
it is in the best interest of the School District to dispose of such broken, surplus and/or
obsolete equipment and/or books, be it
RESOLVED,
that such broken, surplus and/or obsolete equipment and books will be disposed of in a
manner that serves the best interest of the Syosset Central School District. Be it further
RESOLVED,
that the Superintendent of Schools, or her designee is hereby authorized to proceed with
the disposal of surplus, broken and/or obsolete equipment, supplies and books.

RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE 403(b) RETIREMENT PLAN
WHEREAS,
the Syosset Central School District (“District”) maintains the Syosset
School District 403(b) Retirement Plan (“Plan”), and
WHEREAS,
the Plan was duly adopted on the 15th day of December, 2008 by the District’s
Board of Education (“Board”), and
WHEREAS,
the Board desires to amend the Plan as regards section 2.1 Eligibility, therefore be
it
RESOLVED,
that section 2.1 of the Plan is hereby amended to read as follows:
2.1 Eligibility
Each Employee shall be eligible to participate in the Plan and elect to have
Elective Deferrals made on his or her behalf hereunder immediately upon
becoming employed by the Employer.
RESOLVED,
that the Plan, as amended is hereby approved and adopted.

the District went out to bid for Microcomputers & Related Peripherals
Service and Maintenance, and
WHEREAS,
The District opened the bid #21-14.15 Microcomputers & Related
Peripherals Service and Maintenance on June 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., and
WHEREAS,
we have determined that it is in the best interest of the District to reject the
bid, therefore be it
RESOLVED,
that the Board of Education rejects all bids and directs the Purchasing
Agent to re-bid Microcomputers and Related Peripherals and Service and
Maintenance.
