When conducting your Safety Training, you must log this activity on Line 4, On Duty Not Driving. *You will receive points towards your Hornady Rewards account for completing the monthly training* Driver Spotlight James McDonald James McDonald is a professional driver with Horndy Transportation going on 5 months. He has had his CDL license for about 9 years. James started out as a company driver in September and recently made the transition over to lease to better himself as a driver. He was born and raised in Troy, AL as well as Montana, Texas, and Florida. While attending High school in Enterprise, AL, he decided to join Jr. ROTC. Wanting to follow in his dad’s footsteps, James enlisted into the United States Army. At age 17, James let for basic and AIT Training. Upon graduating he enrolled to Airborne and RIP schooling. Ater all of his training and schooling was over, he was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC as a 21B1P Combat Engineer. Ater 6 years, James was discharged. In 2010, James married his High school sweetheart, Brandi, and they are currently residing in New Brockton, AL. Together, they have 4 children, Heather (Lettie), James David Jr. (Dade), James Ryan, and Daniel Rueban. James enjoys spending time with his kids and ishing (if he can ever sneak away!). Entering the wrong number will result in possible delays for your next load. Also, be sure to always double check the length of your trailer for future loads. A Message From Our Safety Department Mrs. Debra Allred Be aware of when your DO T physical expires and remind your driver managers so that you can be recertified at least 3 weeks before your physical expires. Your self-certification information and medical certificate should be provided to your state licensing agency as soon as possible. Know your state procedures on how to provide this information. The states require you to have this information to them 1 to 10 days prior to expiration to ensure your record is updated to ensure your license is not downgraded to a non CDL class.
