A reminder about dress code. Most of you don’t know this but our original dress code at NPA was Khakis and
Polo’s. Our current temporary dress code was designed to show us whether you can follow looser constraints
on what you wear. Most of you have, but too many of you haven’t. We are seeing students with holes in their
jeans and leggings, wearing leggings as pants, short shirts, words on shirts that are not related to a
college. These are all out of dress code and you are jeopardizing consideration of making this dress code
permanent. Please be mature about this and don’t be the person who ruins it for the rest of the
students. Khakis and Polos are fine and it wouldn’t be the end of the world to have to wear them every day, but
we really wanted to give you a chance to express yourself and not have two wardrobes. The decision as to
whether to revert to the old dress code will be made before the end of this semester.
Halloween Costumes are allowed, but no full face masks or painting and no blood, gore or weapons. Costumes
must be dress code appropriate—no revealing costumes.
Butter Braids are coming, Butter Braids are coming!! NPA Bands, Drama, choirs, and string groups will begin
sales of these yummy pastries on November 1st. This is our annual fundraiser which helps our groups raise
money for travel and instruments. Flavors this year are as delicious as ever. The pastries will be ready for
holiday snack attacks and family gatherings!!

ASU will be on campus on October 28th for a financial aid workshop. Interested seniors should sign up at the
admin desk. Students can learn more about the financial aid process, FAFSA, scholarships, ASU’s Free Tuition
Programs, and other resources.

A Jostens representative will be on campus November 2nd at 11:00. All seniors will miss the last 30 minutes of
4th hour during that long period
A Jostens rep will be in Old Main during lunch to collect orders from seniors on November 10th.
We need your support again! We will be having another Pink Out this Friday for breast cancer awareness.
Come to school and show your spirit…dress in pink and go all out! Please remember…school uniform policy will
still be in effect. No ripped jeans, spaghetti straps, etc.
Want to share where some of your favorite restaurants are to eat out with your friends for the yearbook?
Yearbook needs pictures of students eating out and enjoying our delicious Flagstaff cuisine! Make sure to take
some pictures and upload them to ReplayIt! They will be a fabulous addition to our new yearbook page!
Our Annual Blood Drive is soon approaching! The Blood Drive will be held this Wednesday, October 26th, from
9am-2pm, in the gymnasium of Old Main. If you are 16 or 17, you MUST have the Minor Donor Permit
completely filled out and signed by your parent or guardian. If you are interested, please see Juliana or Cali and
get signed up! Spartans…help us out and be sure to let your family, friends, and members of the community
know about our Blood Drive! Let’s join together and start helping to save lives!

Attention Mock Trialers! We will be having a club meeting on Wednesday this week, this will be our regular
meeting time after school. Please attend so we can get Mock Trial off the ground.
Middle School student council will meet this Thursday. October 27th, in room 806 during lunch.
Game Time Lunch Club-6ers and Sevvies, come play fun games at lunch on Mondays in November
and December in room 818.
