Sustainability has always been one of the main driving
forces for us at Direct Pack, Inc. As the proud founder of
the BOTTLEBOX® – the original range of food packaging
made from recycled PET plastic - we use millions of
beverage bottles to create a line of packaging that not only
looks stylish, but makes it easier for us all to do our part in
closing the loop. By using the BOTTLEBOX®, you help save
beverage bottles from landfills and oceans, and when your
customers are done, they can recycle the containers again.

For hot food containers we use polypropylene
(PP), which can withstand temperatures up to 220
(degrees) F and be used in a microwave. PP can
be recycled and we are working on projects to
increase PP recycling in the US. You can choose
between our new clear PP lids or our lids made of
recycled PET plastic.

Our popular 10x7” container is now available in both black and
copper PP. If you want to keep the food separated on the plate,
we offer several solutions with different compartments. The

At Direct Pack we use millions of discarded water and soda bottles every year to make our range of BOTTLEBOX®
containers. The stylish BOTTLEBOX® is the original take-out container made from post-consumer recycled PET plastic.

You recycle a
plastic bottle.

The recycling center
receives the bottles
in big bales.
FLAKES

The bottles are sorted
by color and ground up
into flakes.

The flakes are thoroughly
washed to meet food grade
standards.

During extrusion the
flakes are turned into
large rolls of recycled
PET.

The rolls are used in a
thermoforming process to
