What Is ArcEquine?
ArcEquine is a drug free, non-invasive sub-sensory treatment device, which uses microcurrent
technology. Microcurrent technology works systemically at cellular level. It does not matter where
on the body the current is introduced, it will always ‘go’ to wherever the problem (injury/pain) is.
What Can ArcEquine Do For Your Horse?
•
Facilitates the rapid repair of tissues, including tendons, ligaments, bone fractures and wounds,
often with little or no scar tissue
•
Pre-existing scar tissue, both internal and external, no matter how chronic, is often replaced
by original tissue
•
Promotes effective dispersal and elimination of swelling, bruising, inflammation, pain and
lactic acid
•
Use before, on the way to, during, and on the way home from competition days to help the
horse remain calm, disperse lactic acid, and deal effectively with micro-tears in the tissues
•
ArcEquine is equally effective for prevention and maintenance as it is for repair and restoration
1
How Does ArcEquine Work?
When there is tissue damage and inflammation, the electrical signals between the affected cells
are often impaired, which affects normal cellular activity. Microcurrent technology utilises minute
electrical currents, measured in millionths of an amp (microamps) that dramatically increase ATP
(energy) production in the cells. This significantly speeds up the rate of healing and tissue repair,
often with little or no scar tissue.

Guide to Treatment Options
Selecting The Treatment Option
Activating The Treatment Option
First choose the Treatment Option you wish
to deliver (see guide on Page 8).
Once the desired Treatment Option has been
selected, press and release the right-hand
button once. There will be an audible “beep”
and the Delivery Unit will begin delivery of a
3 hour Treatment Option.
If you are not treating a specific injury/
condition but using the ArcEquine as part of
a prevention/maintenance regime, we
recommend that you first go through the
‘Initial 6 week Protocol’.
Programming The Delivery Unit
At the top of the Delivery Unit there are four
Treatment Option indicator LEDs. To select
your Treatment Option, press and release the
left-hand button and cycle through the LEDs
until the chosen Treatment Option is
illuminated.
As the Treatment Option is selected you will
hear a sequence of short, sharp beeps. The
number of beeps indicates the Treatment
Option number selected.
For example: 3 beeps = Treatment Option 3.
When the Delivery unit is switched ON, the
red/amber LED will indicate the last
Treatment Option delivered.
10
Once activated, the left-hand button will turn
off, and the right-hand button and Treatment
Option indicator LED will turn either:
Green: To indicate complete connectivity
Red: To indicate no connectivity at one or
more of the carbon rubber ArcPads, or the
connector from the strap has become
detached from the bottom of the Delivery
Unit.
After 30 seconds the Delivery Unit will go
into energy saving mode. The right-hand
button will turn off and the Treatment Option
indicator LED will begin to flash (Green) and
continue to do so throughout the delivery
period.
Each Treatment Option lasts 3 hours and should be repeated daily throughout the course of the
Treatment Protocol. The Delivery Unit will turn itself OFF after 3 hours.

there is a history of psychological trauma or significant physical trauma, please extend Phase 1
for a total of 3 weeks.
Please note, no two horses respond at the same rate, therefore timings shown serve only as a
guide and after completion of selected Treatment Option, it may be necessary to reassess and
repeat. This will not cause any harm, as you cannot overuse the ArcEquine.

Recommended Rehabilitation Regime
Recommended Rehabilitation Regime
It has been found that combining the use of the ArcEquine with a progressive and dynamic
rehabilitation programme enhances the effectiveness of Microcurrent Technology, especially where
there is tissue damage. This not only helps to speed regenerative repair, but also ensures a far
better outcome.
The following is a template, with timings shown serving only as a guide. It may be necessary to
reassess and repeat at each stage.
Whilst on Treatment Option 1:
for 1 week or until the horse is sound at walk, whichever is the longer:
• No work
• Box rest (unless already turned out)
• Plenty of TLC

Troubleshooting
Please Note:
If the Treatment Option indicator LED has changed from green to red during the treatment and:
Some horses with very thin/fair skin may, after prolonged use, develop a sensitivity reaction,
manifesting in a ‘rub’ type condition and even some loss of hair.
1) The right-hand button has lit up red:
This indicates a loss of connectivity. Either the lead has become disconnected from the bottom of
the Delivery Unit or one, or both, of the carbon rubber ArcPads are not making a good enough
connection to the skin to complete the circuit. Consider applying more gel.
In order to prevent this, we make the following recommendations:
•
Do not over tighten the elasticated Velcro straps. The carbon rubber ArcPads, plus AE gel
are extremely sensitive so no pressure is required to maintain a good contact
•
Do not use for more than 3 hours in any single session
•
Do not cover any injury with the leg strap/bandage
•
Rotate the leg strap between sound legs each day
2) The left-hand button has lit up red:
This indicates that there is insufficient power in the battery to complete delivery of the selected
Treatment Option. Please charge the unit until fully charged.
