COOP MEMBER NEWSLETTER
Always new insights. And now a new Name.
I am excited to share with you the
news that your cooperative producer
board has voted to take an important
step in support of a successful future
with the decision to adopt CHS Larsen
Cooperative as our business name
effective July 31, 2015. While our legal
name will remain CHS Inc., we will no
longer be doing business as (d.b.a.)
Larsen Cooperative and will evolve our
name to CHS Larsen Cooperative.
The evolution of our name was a
carefully considered process involving
board and management. It is part of a
larger effort to strengthen CHS branding
across Country Operations and create
consistency with customers and the
communities we serve. The name
change also proudly communicates
that we are the nation’s leading farmerowned cooperative, bringing a world of
resources to our customers.
The new logo, like the one displayed
above, will be consistent with the other
CHS operations across the world. You
will begin to see
the new logo
displayed on
our trucks and
uniforms this
summer.
Our cooperative
will continue to
use its current
Todd Reif, General Manager well-known
and respected brands for several of its
important businesses including Cenex®
convenience stores and Cenex® brand
bulk energy. The cooperative will also
continue to offer agronomy, energy, feed,
grain, farm machinery, bulk petroleum
services, and products for our customers.
Locally, our connection to CHS means
access to more capital. As you will read
later in this letter, we will be working
on two large expansion projects this
summer. Our grain facilities in Readfield
and Center Valley will be enhanced
tremendous to increase speed and
storage. All of our divisions are working

on initiatives to make this cooperative
even stronger. Agronomy precision
agriculture continues to grow and
develop into the leading precision team
in the Fox Valley area; and, as you’ll read
on page 3, our energy division is excited
to announce a great summer fill program
through matching our customers’ supply
requirements with the opportunities the
market has provided this year.
We have such a benefit of retaining
the local decision making to be able to
bring the needed goods and services to
our patrons while being connected to
something bigger.
Behind our brand refresh is a new
employee promise to you – Helping our
owners grow. This promise conveys our
unique ability to connect you our owners
and customers, with the right products,
services and solutions you, need to reach

Gain Control this Season with 360 Yield Center
The CHS Larsen Cooperative YieldPoint™
division continues to grow and expand. Our knowledgeable CHS YieldPoint™
Specialists leverage proven technology, giving producers
access to valuable tools that are essential for success. One of
our latest additions to the YieldPoint™ division is becoming
the first 360 Yield Center Dealer in Wisconsin!
Corn uses 75% of the nitrogen it needs after the V10 growth
stage. Traditionally, side-dress methods limit your application
window--to only 14 days after emergence. If you miss it, your
corn won’t reach its full yield potential.
Nitrogen application beyond V6 all the way to VT by using the
360 Y-Drop!
The Y-Drop has faster absorption than side dressing because
it needs less water to incorporate as it is being applied directly
to the stock and root mass. Come harvest, that means more
efficient use of inputs, a better bottom line, and capturing
more yield potential.

Happy June Dairy Month
“Every day in Wisconsin is a day to celebrate dairy, but in
June we take it up a notch!”
June Dairy Month Fun Facts
•A cow produces on average of 6.3 gallons of milk daily and
350,000 glasses of milk in a lifetime
We are very proud to work with the finest dairy industry
right in our back yard. We would like to thank our loyal
dairy customers for their continued support of our feed
mill in Weyauwega.
•The average American consumes almost 25 gallons of milk
annually
CHS Larsen Cooperative will be celebrating June Dairy
month by handing out ice cream on June 17, 2015 at the
following locations: Weyauwega, Center Valley, Readfield,
New London main office and travel plaza, Wild Rose
C-store, Larsen Country Store, and Oconto Falls.
•Wisconsin is the home for the Center for Dairy Research
which has helped to develop the over 600 variety, types,
and styles of award winning cheese made in the state
Be sure to stop in for some ice cream and help us honor
the dairy industry on JUNE 17!
• 12 pounds of whole milk = 1 gallon of ice cream
•In 1910 Wisconsin was number one in the nation for cheese
production, a title the state still holds today, producing over
a quarter of the nation’s total cheese production
Energy Contracts & Summer Fill
Take advantage of this Special CHS Larsen Cooperative Summer Fill Program!
After concluding a very successful propane season, we are even
more excited to offer a great summer fill special price. This is
scheduled to begin June 15. As your local energy expert, we
have an excellent opportunity to offer you a great low price this
summer. We encourage you to fill your tanks while the price is
low. This will certainly help control heating cost in the upcoming
winter.
We are proud to provide the local cooperative service while
being backed by the largest cooperative in North America, CHS
Inc. Not only are we able to offer great programs this year, but
we also want to remind customers of our other great services.
We do not charge a lease fee on usage over 500 gallons. We do
not have a hazmat fee, delivery charge or a fuel surcharge. We
have great 24/7 emergency service. Safety is very imporatant
to us, so all of our energy staff, including our customer service
representatives, have CETP safety training.
We have officially change our winter contracts to an eight
month fixed price contract. Winter contracts will be mailed out
July 1, 2015. The new contract terms will be from September
1, 2015 through April 30, 2016. This year’s contracts will be
significantly lower priced than the 2014-2015 season. We do
still offer a ten month secure comfort budget as well. Be sure to
keep an eye out for the new contracts. If you have any questions,
contact our customer services reps at the main office.
We are continuing to contract diesel fuel for the fall. Please
contact your local CES for current rates. After reviewing some of
our billing practices in refined fuels, we have decided to change
from quarterly to annual billing for our RFD monitors. This saves
administrative time and money.
Kim Leisner was recently promoted to the interim energy
manager. Our Certified Energy Specialists will be catering to
her previous accounts. If you are unsure of who is your new
representative, please contact the main office.
We are excited to announce the propane truck featured on our
cover page is powered by propane! Not only is this truck more
efficient, but it’s also environmentally friendly by reducing up to
24 percent greenhouse gas emissions.
