June 2015 The Ledger COOP MEMBER NEWSLETTER Always new insights. And now a new Name. I am excited to share with you the news that your cooperative producer board has voted to take an important step in support of a successful future with the decision to adopt CHS Larsen Cooperative as our business name effective July 31, 2015. While our legal name will remain CHS Inc., we will no longer be doing business as (d.b.a.) Larsen Cooperative and will evolve our name to CHS Larsen Cooperative. The evolution of our name was a carefully considered process involving board and management. It is part of a larger effort to strengthen CHS branding across Country Operations and create consistency with customers and the communities we serve. The name change also proudly communicates that we are the nation’s leading farmerowned cooperative, bringing a world of resources to our customers. The new logo, like the one displayed above, will be consistent with the other CHS operations across the world. You will begin to see the new logo displayed on our trucks and uniforms this summer. Our cooperative will continue to use its current Todd Reif, General Manager well-known and respected brands for several of its important businesses including Cenex® convenience stores and Cenex® brand bulk energy. (920) 667-4955 2 Gain Control this Season with 360 Yield Center The CHS Larsen Cooperative YieldPoint™ division continues to grow and expand. Our knowledgeable CHS YieldPoint™ Specialists leverage proven technology, giving producers access to valuable tools that are essential for success. One of our latest additions to the YieldPoint™ division is becoming the first 360 Yield Center Dealer in Wisconsin! Corn uses 75% of the nitrogen it needs after the V10 growth stage. Traditionally, side-dress methods limit your application window--to only 14 days after emergence. If you miss it, your corn won’t reach its full yield potential. Nitrogen application beyond V6 all the way to VT by using the 360 Y-Drop! The Y-Drop has faster absorption than side dressing because it needs less water to incorporate as it is being applied directly to the stock and root mass. Come harvest, that means more efficient use of inputs, a better bottom line, and capturing more yield potential.
