Morzine-Avoriaz
Babysnow gives the chance for children aged 1 to 4 years old to experience the sensation of being on
the snow with a special snow scoot that is controlled by their parents or an adult. The scooter
consists of a forward facing surfboard, fixed handlebars and a separate handle controlled by the
adult. It is available in Morzine with the ESF.
Burton Riglet is the perfect way for children aged 4 to 8 to learn the basics of snowboarding whilst
having fun with equipment suited to their size. The Mint Snowboard School and Rude Chalets in
Morzine have worked with the Burton brand to introduce the Riglet programme to offer unique
courses tailored to toddlers who often thought they were too young start to learn. Burton "Learn to
Ride" boards start at 80cm solely dedicated to children younger than 8 years.

Val d'Isère
Val d'Isère is the ideal place to learn more about ice climbing at the icefalls in La Daille. The natural
waterfall is part of a fabulous landscape with a view overlooking the lake Chevril. With a fixed belay
point about thirty feet high, you ascend safely with your two ice axes and crampons to. Perfect for
teenagers.
Also in Val d’Isère, children from 4 years olds can try tandem paragliding from the Solaise. You can
either go on skis or for non-skiers on foot.
If being up in the sky is not your thing, you can take a ride in a piste basher. This activity is offered by
the ice circuit of Val d'Isère, and although children cannot drive, they can sit next to the driver.

Val Thorens
New for 2014/15 is a night-time snow shoeing excursion for children aged 8-13 years old. From 5pm,
once the lifts have closed, the ski school Evolution 2 takes children on a mountain adventure which
includes snowshoeing, igloo building and an introduction to astronomy.
Cost is €25 and the excursions run from 5pm to 7pm, 2 or 3 nights a week (group of 4-16 children - 12 ski instructors).
