The inspiring 23-year-old Hannah Senesh died by firing squad in 1944, but has
endured as one of Israel's most iconic heroes. This first-ever major exhibition
tells how this Budapest-born poet, diarist, and author of the hymn Eli, Eli
discovered her love for the Land of Israel, courageously volunteered for a
mission to rescue downed Allied fliers and Jews from Nazi-occupied Hungary,
and ultimately became a lasting symbol of courage and determination.

The Pianist of Willesden Lane
Chicago's Royal George Theatre
This compelling play tells the true story of Lisa Jura, a
young Jewish pianist who dreams of a concert debut at
the storied Musikverein concert hall. When Lisa is
swept up in the Kindertransport to protect her from
the Nazi regime, everything about her life is upended
except her love of music and her pursuit of that
dream.
Starring Lisa's daughter, award-winning concert
pianist Mona Golabek, the play features some of the
world's most beloved piano music. The Pianist of
Willesden Lane is a powerful testament to how music
helps us survive through our darkest times.
Tickets are available at 312.988.9000 and via Ticketmaster. For more
information about Mona and the play, click here.
