Advancement Update
This is an exciting time for Holy Family Catholic High School!
Building upon the strong foundation of our first 16 years, we
continuously seek opportunities to enhance excellence in all that
we do. Momentum gained through the addition of new staff
members and volunteers who bring different perspectives, skills
and energy, combined with the experience of seasoned staff and
volunteers deeply rooted in our history, will propel us toward a
bright future.
In fact, you might notice the Holy Family you know and love
appears a little different as of late.
Generous underwriting from a donor and the help of creative
alumnae enabled the rollout of out a new website over the summer
and a fresh take on the Holy Family Annual Fund.
During the first week of school, the activities and advancement
departments teamed up to host an exciting night for Fire fans
with the home opener of our girls soccer, boys soccer, girls tennis
and football seasons all on a single afternoon. With food trucks,
lawn games, and a couple hundred fans, the afternoon was so
successful in gathering members of our school family to build
fellowship and school spirit, you can probably expect it to become
an annual event.
Over the past few months, our alumni relations team successfully
organized first-time events for HF alumni in Milwaukee, Chicago
and Boston, giving them a venue to reconnect with each other
and with the life of the school today. The alumni we met with
took comfort in knowing the cherished traditions they remember
so fondly continue today, such as Thanksgiving dinner served to
students by faculty and staff, Carol’s famous lunchroom cookies,
and daily convocation. Yet, at the same time, our alumni are
anxious to hear what’s changed and what the future looks like for
their school.
The admissions department is taking an invigorated approach to
enrollment and we were thrilled to host nearly 100 prospective
families at our Fall Open House – almost double last year’s
attendance. With new initiatives such as merit scholarships, an
enhanced Shadow Student program, and expanded transportation
options underway, Holy Family’s enrollment future looks bright!
This energy carried through to the perennial favorite fall event, Spirit
of Fire, where the dedication of hundreds of volunteers led by two
very talented parents once again produced a highly successful
result, bringing more than 300 members of our school community
together for a fun-filled night, exceeding our financial goal.
Holy Family Catholic High School is evolving. Our focus is to build
upon our success – retaining the best of what we do and making
refinements as necessary. We will set our sights higher and higher
as we provide our students opportunities to grow spiritually,
morally, intellectually and physically within a community of faith.
Thank you for your prayers, volunteer time, and financial gifts in
support of these endeavors. We could not do any of this without
you.
