What will high school be like? General Information

Advice from
current freshmen
 Get your work done right away and
have fun when you get done. Don’t get
behind!
 Get on the teachers’ good side.
 Take advantage of clubs and sports to
meet new people.
 High school is so much better! The
classes aren’t as scary as you think and
the upper classmen are actually nice to
you.
 Be yourself! Don’t be afraid to set
boundaries.
 Be open. You may leave with different
friends than you came in with.
 Carry a backpack with you so you don’t
have to go to your locker all the time.
 Get to know your teachers and you will
enjoy school so much more.
 Ask questions; don’t be scared.
 You’ll find your way around the school
after the first couple of days. You can
always ask anyone for directions.
 Do your work, because if you fail a
class, you have to do it over.
 Take classes that matter toward what
you want to do.
 Remember that 8th grade is practice for
high school. Start setting time aside
now for homework and studying.
