Every year on May 4, the Netherlands commemorates the victims of war. On May 5, we celebrate
the fact that we were liberated. For more information, see: http://www.4en5mei.nl/english
Ascension Day, May 5, please notice: you cannot park your bike/car near church
Ascension Day and the Dutch Liberation Day happen to be at the same day this year, on May 5.
There will be a Holy Mass at 9:30 am, but, because of all celebrations of Liberation Day, you are not
allowed to take your bike/car to the centre of the town that day.
Pentecost, ICC lunch after mass, May 15
According to the same formula as the Chrismas- and Easter-lunch; more information will follow.
Adoration weekend; May 27 - 29
The Brasilian mission Community Shalom will organize an adoration weekend again, from May 27
(17:00) untill May 29 (9:00). This will take place in Renkum address: Dorpstraat 1), in the Catholic
church (daytime - 10 pm ) and in the Shalom Community house (from 10 pm ).
More information will be sent later.
News from Maria Pereira
We got some very good news from Maria Pereira; she got a whole body scan, and is very happy that
there appears to be a total remission of her disease!
This means she doesn't have to do agressive chemotherapies anymore.
A quote: "... Each message, each phone call, each expression of care, worry, affection, each word,
each prayer, each practical help, each suggestion, each piece of company, each visit, each letter,
each gesture, counted." ................ "I think I can now say with some confidence that within a couple
of months I should be ready to say ‘hi’ again to you personally and hug some of you with my very
tight hugs. Endless hugs and many ‘beijinhos’. Maria"

International Choir is still looking for new members
The Choir is "shrinking" and is desperately looking for new singers; do you like to sing, or do you
know somebody who does, please contact Thilda ([email protected]), or one of the other choir
members?

There is always room for new volunteers to present the coffee/tea after Mass; there is a brand new
virtual list which you can put your name on: http://bit.ly/coffee-and-tea-service.
If you see that there is only one person sweating and working hard to provide everybody with a cup
of tea/coffee, please give him/her a helping hand?
