Dear Parents, Teachers, and Helpers,
I encourage you to test Times to Remember ™ before you buy it! It is as simple as A, B, C. The pre-test
and post-test include identical equations. However, they are in a different order. When you later compare the tests score, focus on the equations 7x7, 6x8, and 8x8 for an accurate assessment. If your child
improved on any of these 3 equations, it is likely the complimentary illustrated rhymes you used when
working with your child were helpful.
Directions:
A) Have your child or students take the one-minute pre-test. Don’t let the child/students
see or hear the illustrated rhymes before the pre-test. Correct the pre-test using the
answers that follow.
B) Follow the 1-2-3 Step instructions below.
Step 1: Give a colored illustration to your child or students to observe and explain
what is in the picture. (Students could turn and talk to a partner). Have your child/
students find the hidden numbers in the illustrations.
Step 2: Sing or ‘rap’ the rhyme several times along with your child/students. Clapping
or creating motions is encouraged.
Step 3: Have your child color the black and white illustrated rhymes, tracing the equation, highlighting or circling the hidden numbers, and coloring the rhyme.
Continue this process with the other two complimentary sample illustrated rhymes
being sure to sing/rap the previous rhymes before beginning a new one.
C) Have your child/students take the post-test. Compare scores, especially noting any
changes on the equations 7x7, 6x8, and 8x8. Did your child remember these equations? If yes, this product likely helped your child.
