The Maginni Room
The Maginni Room is located on the ground floor of the
James Joyce Centre and provides a stunning example
of Georgian plasterwork, with wall medallions depicting
a variety of dancing scenes which reflect the use of the
room as a dancing academy at the turn of the 19th Century.
Facilities available: Projector, projection screen, laptop,
lectern, flip chart.
Spec: Seating for 25 people or café-style seating with
small, round tables for 20. Available 7 days a week.
Half-day: €100 Full-day: €200
The Kenmare Room
The Kenmare Room is the largest room in the building and
faces west onto North Great George’s Street. The room features beautiful and ornate ceiling stucco-work. This room
is perfect for formal events and dinners.
Facilities available: Projector, projection screen, laptop, lectern, flip chart. Kitchen facilities on the ground floor of the
building can be utilised for refreshments & food reheating.
Spec: Seating for 50, chairs available. Available weekdays,
weekends incur a €60 surchage per day. Tables etc can be
arranged through Select Hire.
Half-day: €150 Full-day: €300
The Old Library
The Old Library is adjoining to the Kenmare Room and
is slightly smaller in dimensions. It also features a very
handsome plasterwork ceiling and can be used as an additional prep area for events. It is located towards the back
of the building and the windows face out over our rear
courtyard.
The Old Library can be hired independently for the same
rates as the Kenmare Room. If you wish to hire both the
Kenmare Room and the Old Library then the combined
rate would be €250 for a half-day and €400 for a full-day.
