The Richard H. Driehaus Museum provides
a unique and intimate setting for corporate
entertaining and private events. With its
breathtaking marble-clad entrance hall,
carved wooden interiors, and elegant galleries
replete with iridescent mosaics and stained
glass windows, your guests will be immersed
in the very essence of Gilded Age luxury.
While enjoying a cocktail reception or a dinner,
guests are invited to explore the Museum’s
collection of fine and decorative arts and
experience the Gilded Age interiors. The
Museum presents a variety of entertaining
possibilities that may be customized to
complete your grandest and most elegant

Main Hall & Second Floor
The Samuel M. Nickerson Mansion’s Main Hall gave rise to the residence’s
original moniker of the Marble Palace. Breathtaking yet intimate, this
space is well suited to a cocktail reception or seated dinner.

Dining / up to 25 guests
Reception / up to 75 guests
Ballroom
Reached by ascending the marble staircase to the Mansion’s third floor,
the elegant Ballroom provides a sumptuous space for seated dinners,
receptions, lectures, and presentations. Three adjoining galleries may
also be used to accommodate guests.

Dining / up to 100 guests (utilizing adjoining galleries)
Theatre / up to 50 guests
Billiards Room
Paneled in rich walnut, the Billiards Room is ideal for intimate dinners,
boardroom meetings, luncheons, and presentations. The adjacent Servants’
Hall may also be used in conjunction with this space to host cocktail
receptions of up to 40 guests.

The Driehaus Museum is the perfect setting for
receptions, meetings, and special celebrations.
From intimate dinners to corporate receptions,
we are ready to assist you with every aspect of
your event.
Planning the Perfect Private Event
Planning assistance for all special events is provided
by the Museum’s Facility Rental Coordinator. All
facility rentals include security service, coatroom,
custodial service, and Museum guides on hand to
interpret the fine and decorative arts collection and
the history of the building. A selection of optional
services is also available depending on the size and
type of event.
At Your Service: Preferred Vendors
An outstanding selection of preferred caterers,
florists, and rental companies has been pre-selected
for their high standards and quality of service.
Additional vendors for other services, including
audio-visual equipment, are available upon request.

Set the Mood
Enhance your special event with live or recorded
music. The Museum’s restored 1918 Mason &
Hamlin baby grand piano may be rented for events,
and the Facility Rental Coordinator can provide a
menu of other musicians to suit every occasion.
Parking
Valet parking options are available or guests may
self-park in the Museum’s partner parking garage,
Inter-Row Park located at 50 East Ohio Street, and
have their tickets validated for a discounted fee.
Taxicabs, limousines, trolleys, and coaches are
always welcome to drop off and pick up your
guests at the Museum entrance.

The Richard H. Driehaus Museum
Steps away from Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, the Driehaus Museum offers
visitors a fascinating view of the Samuel M. Nickerson Mansion, one of
the few remaining examples of homes erected by the wealthy of America’s
Gilded Age. The lavish interiors are complemented by stunning examples
of period furniture, and decorative arts, including a magnificent selection
of works by Tiffany Studios selected from the Driehaus Collection.
