Context
UWS Early Learning LTD provides high quality child care and early learning experiences for our
children in a stimulating, inclusive and nurturing environment, working in partnership with families,
UWS and our diverse community.UWS Early Learning Ltd (UWSELL) is a wholly owned entity of the
University of Western Sydney (UWS). As a non for profit organisation, the objective of the entity is to
deliver quality Early Childhood Education and Care services, providing and exceeding the standard of
care and learning facilities for children who we considered to be our future leaders. Our aesthetically
pleasing environments take into consideration accessibility of resources to children, recognising the
environments as the third teacher contributing to children’s learning. UWSELL services’ engaging
atmosphere will provide opportunities for growth of knowledge, skills, allowing children to conduct
their own enquiries making decisions about their own learning. Collaborative partnerships with our
families, UWS students, staff and the diverse community is the underpinning of every day operations.
The entity provides a central management structure that is developed to ensure the necessary
interface with UWS business processes and to oversee the effective management of the Education
and Care services. There are six UWSELL Early Childhood Services operating on the following UWS
teaching Campuses – Bankstown, Blacktown, Campbelltown, Hawkesbury, Parramatta and Penrith.

Position Purpose
The UWS Early Learning Certificate Educator is expected to be an active member of the team which
provides high quality early childhood education and care to children. This includes assisting in the
implementation of UWSELL policy and procedures at all times, developing strong and supportive
relationships with families, educators and children and working with other staff towards continuous
improvement in all areas of the service operation.
