The Tudors
This term in Year 5 our history topic is the Tudors. We are
learning about Henry V111 and his six wives. We are also
researching Tudor exploration and learning about some famous
explorers. In our art work we are looking at Tudor portraits
and producing some of our own.
We enjoyed finding out about Tudor food!
Rich and poor Tudors ate very different food from each other.
How many different sorts of meat can you name in the picture?
Are their a lot of vegetables?
How is the lady protecting her red sleeves?
‘Did you know that wealthy people in Tudor times ate swans and
herons?’ Erin.
‘They also ate seabirds such as puffins!’ Lois. ‘The Tudors
thought that brown bread was poor people’s food!’ Rhys.
