The Santa Fe Rose Society is a chapter of
the non-profit educational organization, the
American Rose Society, serving the
residents of the City of Santa Fe and
surrounding areas. The common goals of
these two societies are:
1. To follow the mission and practice the
principals of the American Rose Society.
2. To promote the culture and appreciation
of the rose.
3. Foster the interest to the public in rose
horticulture through educational programs,
community events, rose shows, and
publications.
4. Educate and encourage the residents of
our community to grow roses.
5. Offer our community the best information
and practices for growing roses with ease
and effectiveness.
The Santa Fe Rose Society is responsible for
the beautification and maintenance of the
Harvey Cornell Rose Garden. Our society
has partnered with the Santa Fe Master
Gardener Association and the City of Santa
Fe Parks Division to preserve the beauty and
character of the garden. The garden is open
to the public and is located at the corner of
Galisteo and Cordova Road. The Santa Rose
Society offers free and open meetings to the
public on the first Tuesday of the month.
Three Rose Garden Clinics will also be
offered in the spring and summer.
