Saturday, June 10 Garden Day 11am-3pm
Pick up your Garden Tour Program at the Welcome Table or Front Desk – many have been hard at work
preparing their gardens & homes for all to enjoy. Special events this year include a “paper making”
demonstration and “seed bomb” handouts at the Welcome Table. Open to the public
8:30am – Bocce matches, bring a lawn chair and water bottle
7:30pm – Performing Arts presents The Michelle Wiley Trio; stick around after the dinner meal as the “stage
crew” magically transform our “dining hall” back into an Auditorium for productions. Join us as
Michelle sings from the Great American Songbook accompanied by piano, drums and bass

Monday, June 12
ETC is selling raffle tickets for a “Weekend Warrior” Father’s Day Basket – buy your tickets for $1.00 each
in the Grille during lunch. Drawing is held on Friday, June 16. Good Luck!

5:30pm – The Meet & Greet Table will gather in the Rotunda before heading into the Grille where there is a

10:00am – Resident Council Meeting in the Auditorium; all residents are welcome and encouraged to attend
4:00pm - Sing a long at Four Seasons; all are welcome

The Director on Duty the weekend of June 9th is Dottie Mallon
All meetings regularly scheduled for the Card room, Conservatory and Private Dining room are now
being held in Ascot building Apt. 102 – each room is set up for meetings and/or card games. Feel free to
use the Grille for card games and small meetings when not being used for meals.
NOTICE: Dining Services Hours of Operation : Grille Lunch, 11:30am-2:00pm, Grille Dinner: 4:30pm7:00pm. Auditorium Dinner: 4:30pm seating (finished by 5:45pm) and 6:00pm seating (finished by 7:15pm)
Take Out (pickup) Grille, 4:30pm-7:00pm; Take Out (delivery) Orders must be placed by 3:00pm (610-6752058) delivery between 4:30pm-5:00pm. $4.00 fee. Sunday Brunch: 11:30am seating (finished by 12:45pm)
1:00pm seating (finished by 2:15pm) Reservation recommended.
MEAL DELIVERY INFORMATION: The phone number issued for delivery of the dinner meal is 610-6752058, please place your order by 3:00pm. Deliveries will be made between 4:30pm and 5:00pm. $4.00 charge.
Please note this is separate from the Outpatient directed meal delivery. A Dining Staff member will still call you
for your order. Please do not call to place an order. Thank you.
STALL NEWS: Our last shopping day is scheduled for Thursday, June 15 from 9:00am-1:00pm. We re-open
in September. Please note some important items for purchasing items on and off season. Furniture items are
located in the B Building storage area and Porte-cochere (screened in room across from the Clubhouse main
entrance). To purchase, follow posted directions. If you wish to donate during the summer, please contact your
Stall representative in your Court. Check the Welcome Center bulletin board for the list of representatives.
NOTICE: The next Veterans Social is on Friday, June 16 at 9:30am in the Auditorium. Our special guest is
Kevin W. Mayros, the Eligibility and Enrollment Coordinator for the Coatesville VA Medical Center. He will
discuss their services and how to enroll. Don’t miss it!
SENIOR INFORMATION TABLE hosted by Senator Tom Killion will be back again on Friday, June 16 at
10:00am in the Clubhouse Fireplace Area. A representative is available to answer questions, take photos for
ID’s and so much more.
THE BOOK CLUB will meet on Monday, June 19 at 1:30pm in Apt. A 102 to discuss The Rent Collector by
Camron Wright, a beautifully told story about the perseverance of the human spirit. All welcome.
TASTE AND TOUR: Our Marketing luncheon has been switched to a breakfast! It will be held on Tuesday,

BRIDGE LESSONS: Play of the Hand series begins on Wednesday June 21 at 9:30am in Apt. A 102.

to Channel #14, now Channel #1970; we invite you all to celebrate with us during Wine and Cheese on
Wednesday, June 21 at 4:15pm. Drop in and say hello to How and thank him for his years of wisdom – without
him, our in-house television would not be what it is today
IT’S STRAWBERRY SEASON! You are invited to our Strawberry Festival in the Grille on Friday, June 23
at 2:00pm. Use your flex dollars or pay a small amount to be determined later. Invite a friend or family to enjoy
some delicious and sweet Strawberry Shortcake. Sign up today in the Welcome Center or call Hilary to be

DID YOU KNOW that we added another date for our Special Summer Mystery Lunch? There are a few spots
left for next week, Tuesday, June 13. We depart from the Clubhouse at 10:30am and drive to a special spot on
the water for a delicious seafood luncheon. No cash is needed, the fee for lunch and transportation will be added
to your monthly bill, estimated cost is $40. Sign up at the Front Desk today!
GIFT CORRAL: Just in time for Father’s Day – a collection of men’s cotton shirts, knit tee shirts and
lightweight casual, breathable jackets. Shop early for the best selection.
WEDNESDAY SHOPPING: Starting in July, we will only take 1 specialty shopping trip a month. Every 3rd
Wednesday at 10:00am; we will go to a special store. (ex: Wegmans) If you would like to be included in these
shopping trips, all you need to do is sign up at the Front Desk on the morning of the trip. Thank you.
SAVE THE DATE: Come celebrate the Anniversary of WHV with us on Tuesday, August 8 – we will enjoy a
delicious meal in the Auditorium and dance to all of our favorite songs out on the dance floor under the stars.
Yes, we will have a tent over the Shuffleboard courts. This years’ theme will be more casual due to the
renovation project. Mark your calendar!
