This assignment is for extra credit. The more detail you put into it the more points you can get,
up to a maximum of 100 points. On a sturdy sheet of paper, poster board, or construction paper,
create a poster. IT NEEDS TO BE THE SIZE OF THIS SHEET OF PAPER, 8 ½” x 11”. Neatly write your full
name and class period in the box below and tape it to the back of your poster.
You are a mad scientist and you have discovered the means to bring a creature to life. Give your
creature a name and introduce it to us. Describe your creature in detail, long green nose, hairy
elephant ears, Shakira’s hair, or whatever you wish. Tell what it can do well and what it cannot do well.
Tell how tall it is and how much it weighs (in metric measurements). Tell what it likes and does not like,
and how it acts, what it does. Explain why you chose to create the creature.
Include an illustration of your creature that matches your description. You could make it from
pictures from magazines, drawings, clip art, whatever. Add color to your poster to draw your reader’s
attention. Feel free to be creative. Your poster may be hand written. It does not need to be typed, but
it does need to be neatly done.
DO NOT USE ANY ENGLISH! You will not get points for any work done in English. You may use a
Spanish-English dictionary to look up an occasional word if you need to, but do not use computer or
internet translation programs. YOU HAVE THREE SCHOOL DAYS TO COMPLETE THIS ASSIGNMENT.
