WHO ARE WE?
The Asoria Group is a multi-award winning recruitment group, with four specialist brands.
We operate from offices in Europe and Asia servicing clients across 50 countries.
HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
The Asoria Group foundations were laid quite literally from one of our Director’s kitchen table!
After years building teams for a leading London recruitment agency, Matt and Patrick decided to go it alone.
In 2010 The Green Recruitment Company was established with the clear intention of becoming the
leading supplier of recruitment solutions to the international green economy. The business provided a clear,
straight-forward customer led service, which when aligned with a deep understanding of the sector,
delivered significant early success.
FAST GROWTH
Early success provided a platform for high growth and in 2012 The Green Recruitment Company opened
a second office in Beijing, China. Beijing developed steadily, whilst the head office in London went from
strength to strength. The company moved to offices in Waterloo and in the past four years have moved
five times within the area due to high growth, culminating in our current office with unrivalled views of the
Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. The company won prominent green industry awards in this year and
cemented its reputation as a market leader.
NEW BRANDS & GROUP STRUCTURE
2012 and 2013 brought unprecedented change to the company. Due to market demand, we expanded into
several other key verticals, high growth markets replicating the values and service of The Green Recruitment
Company. The Property Recruitment Company and The Energy Recruitment Company were founded in 2012,
followed by The Digital Recruitment Company in 2013. These new brands each brought a new dimension
to the company, adding different personality to the office and strengthening the overall group offering.
The Asoria Group structure was announced in January 2014 to bring external structure to the business.
We currently sit at approximately £5 million turnover and 40 head count with detailed and expansive growth
planned for 2015-2018.

OUR INTERVIEW PROCESS
We believe an interview should be a two way process. You need to know that recruitment is the
right industry for you and that we are the right type of company for you and vice versa.
As such, our process is designed to ensure that if we end up working together then the answer
is a resounding yes to both.
STAGE 1: CV SHORTLISTING
We receive a high volume of CVs on a daily basis* and we have to be selective even at this stage
on who we progress. Chances are if you are reading this then you have made it past stage 1!
STAGE 2: TELEPHONE INTERVIEW
This is an opportunity for you to understand more about the role of the recruitment consultant,
the challenges and the benefits. It is also a chance for us to check that you have the required phone
manner and motivators to progress.
STAGE 3: FIRST STAGE FACE TO FACE INTERVIEW
This stage is an opportunity for you to see the physical office you will be working in and also get to meet
with a company Director face to face. From our perspective this is a relatively informal interview and
a chance to really understand what motivates you.
STAGE 4: DESK TRIAL & MEET KEY TEAM MEMBERS
We believe it is important that you get as much of a feel for the job as possible. As part of the interview
process we ask for you to spend at least one day on the desk. During this you will be given simple tasks that
involve being on the phone.
This allows you to have a much better understanding of what the role entails and also meet the team.
*On average we receive 80 CVs for each successful hire.
4
STAGE 5: FINAL STAGE INTERVIEW
This is a more in-depth and detailed interview held with a company Director. If you make it to this stage
then we believe you have the aptitude to do the role, this interview is to really ensure recruitment is
the right career for you and you are committed to our business.
STAGE 6: VETTING
Offers are subject to successful reference verification and education certification. If you have previous
sales experience a P60 and/or payslips may be required.

WHAT MAKES THE ASORIA GROUP UNIQUE?
The people. The Asoria Group is unique in the fact that it really does have an amazing culture.
The people who work here are very, very ambitious, young and like-minded. It’s a fantastic environment for
people to work in as a result of that. It combines the family feel of a small business with high growth.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE ASORIA GROUP IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS?
I think that I would like to see more of the same – in the last four years its been a real success
story – we’ve grown from a few people in a small office to a large recruitment group and I’d like to see
more great people join us and more international expansion – more growth.
WHAT IS YOUR HIGHLIGHT OF WORKING FOR THE ASORIA GROUP?
The main highlight that stands out for me is going to Beijing to help set up and grow the
office over there. In the middle of 2014, I had the opportunity to go out there and interview new people
to work for us whilst at the same time going out and meeting some of our clients over there, it was
a really fantastic experience.
WHAT’S THE BEST THING ABOUT WORKING FOR THE ASORIA GROUP?
The staff retention is really good and that’s definitely a positive about the group. The main
reason for that is everyone can genuinely see opportunities in different aspects of the group and everyone
is really bought in to our vision and our growth for the next few years. People who come here can see
they have a career here and that helps them stay here for the long term.

CASE STUDY 2: AIMEE MAIL

HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THE ASORIA GROUP?
I heard about the Asoria Group in quite a cool way. I was a rep doing a ski season after I left
university. Whilst I was out there I met one of the Directors, Matt, and a couple of the senior managers
who were on holiday. They mentioned that they had jobs in recruitment going and when I finished
my ski season I decided to send my CV across to them.
WHY WAS THE ASORIA GROUP YOUR FIRST CHOICE?
I think the whole process from when I met the Directors through to final stage interview was
just one of the best processes I’ve been through. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, the company is
going in a great direction and growing massively. There’s so much room for progression. Even though
we work in such a competitive industry it’s still such a fun place to work.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR HIGHLIGHT OF WORKING FOR THE ASORIA GROUP SO FAR?
There’s been a lot of highlights, it’s been a great seven months so far and I’ve really enjoyed it,
but the icing on the cake for me was hitting my quarterly target which means I get to go to Berlin!
HOW SMOOTH WAS THE RELOCATION PROCESS TO LONDON?
For me it was a massive challenge. I’m from Derby initially. To actually move to London
was a big step. But Matt and my manager supported me massively – helped me find an apartment,
as they knew the area a lot better than me, and the whole process was really easy due to the
people that work here.
