Yet,thatqualitythatmakesforexcellence-thatcommitment-ismoreimportanttoustodayonadailyoperational basisthanperhapseverbefore.Atleastoneofthereasonsthisistrueisquitesimple.Thenatureoftheproblems wefacechangesevenasweworkwiththem.Wecannottellfromwhatdisciplinesorfromwhatartofpreparation forthenextstepwillcome.Wecannotfallbackontheloreoftheartbecausethatloredoesnotexist.Thereis however,atraditionthatisheldincommonbynaturalphilosophers,explorers,pioneerwoodsmen-anyonewhois inhisdailylifehasbeencompelledtofacenewproblems.Thatistraditionofrespectandconcernfortheproperties andthequalityofeverythingintheworldaroundthem.Toexcelinthestructuringofaproblemwemustbe committedtoaconcernforqualityineverythingintheworldaroundus.Wemustlearntocaredeeply."
