Details:
Day 1
You will arrive at Schiphol International airport and come to the five star Krasnapolsky hotel, which will be
your home away from home for the duration of the trip. Optional pick-up service is provided in a luxury
vehicle.
The five star Krasnapolsky hotel:
The hotel has one of the best locations in Amsterdam, right on dam square and behind the
national monument. This hotel is quite fitting for your tour, as the founder of the hotel, Wilhelm
Krasnapolsky originally started out as a tailor. The hotel was completely renovated in the past year.
Welcome cocktail:
Come celebrate our first day of the tour with a welcome cocktail made with exclusive, homemade
liqueurs, bitters, infusions and sodas designed by Tess Posthumus and the Dutch distillery Wynand Fockink.
In the evening we will enjoy dinner and wine in the winter garden of the Grand Café restaurant in the
Krasnapolsky. We will be located right in the middle of Amsterdam, very close to the historic centre, which
makes this location ideal if you would like to take a leisurely stroll after dinner or go out for a drink.
Day 2
Guided Tour with Carlo Wijnands:
After breakfast you will take a guided tour with Carlo Wijnands. Carlo is a central figure in the
Amsterdam Fashion scene, he is former program director of fashion week and an exhibition
organiser. He will be our guide and take us to two designers and visit their ateliers in the centre of
Amsterdam.
Visit Esther Dorhout Mees*:
We will first visit Esther Dorhout Mees worked many years as a designer for established labels, such as
Bruuns Bazaar and Tommy Hilfiger before she started her own label. Lady Gaga wore one of her
dresses and has now ordered more dresses designed especially for her.
Lunch:
We will have lunch at the Restaurant-Café In de Waag. After lunch, we will tour the this magnificent historic
building built in 1488.
In the afternoon, we continue our tour to meet Mattijs van Bergen*, known as the “Crown prince of Dutch
Fashion”.

De- Dinner: We end the day with dinner in the Hoofdstad Brasserie in the beautiful Hotel l'Europe, overlooking the Amstel River
Day 3
After breakfast we will visit of the Moooi Gallery for an overview of contemporary Dutch Design. The venture founded in 2001
by Marcel Wanders and Casper Vissers is named after their native Dutch word for beautiful – the third ‘o’ in the brand name stands
for an extra value in terms of beauty & uniqueness.
Lunch
Bas Kosters Inspirational Tour
In the afternoon we meet Bas Kosters, a young Dutch Fashion Designer, that will take us around to his favourite inspirational spots in
Amsterdam.
Early dinner: To prepare for the night we will have an early (17.00h) dinner in Art Deli near the hotel
Opening of Amsterdam Fashion Week
In the evening we will visit the opening fashion show of at the Westergasfabriek.
We will attend the exciting Opening party of Fashion Week Amsterdam.

Day 4
After we enjoyed our breakfast, we go by ferry to visit the buzzling north shore of the IJ that is the major re-development area
Amsterdam for an architectural tour visiting the EYE, the giant 3D printer of Dus architects and the A'dam tower. From the ferry you
can see a number of landmark buildings was established here over the last years giving the area a futuristic outlook.
Lunch
Denham and Van Gils Flagship Stores
We will visit Denham in their flagship store in the museum quarter, and then we will stopover at the new Van Gils flagship store in
Amsterdam and meeti with CEO Harry van der Zee.
Dinner
In the evening we will have dinner at a restaurant of the Amsterdams new Dutch Food scene.
After that we will visit one of the many Amsterdam Fashion Week parties.

Day 5
Morning: Free shopping and exploration time
After breakfast everyone will have a few hours of free time to shop or enjoy the day roaming around. The hotel is very close to the
famous '9 straatjes' translated into Nine Little Streets. Full of small fashion shops, restaurants, coffee bars, bookshops, interior
design stores and hairdressers, The Nine Small Streets is the area where locals go to shop, get pampered and polished at salons,
eat and drink.

Tip: The Stedelijk Museum, a contemporary design museum recently reopened after an 8-year renovation.
Evening
Early in the evening we will take you along for a boat tour through the canals. Besides providing a stunning backdrop to the
city’s historical centre, floating down Amsterdam’s canals is one of the most memorable ways to discover the city's sights and
attractions. Whether you’re a new or a frequent visitor, Amsterdam seems a bit more magical when viewed from a boat.

Farewell Dinner
Our tour ends with a farewell dinner in the recently re-opened Adam Tower a remarkable re-development as an
international music centre. We will dine in the revolving restaurant where you can take in the spectacular view
over Amsterdam.
Day 6
Return Amsterdam-Canada (Sunday July 10th)
Our driver will take everybody back to Schiphol airport to catch their flights home.
