APPLICATION
Honeywell S110 singlejet water meters are used for sub
metering of cold or warm water in residential drinking water
systems.
They are available in sizes DN15 and DN20 and have a
mechanical counter. They can be retrofitted with a clip on MBus and pulse out combimodule for integration into remote
readout networks.

METHOD OF OPERATION
Counter
•
The meter can be read from a single line eight-digit roller
counter with m³. The counter unit can be rotated for
better readibility.

with an M-Bus hardware tool, for example the Relay
Micro-Master.
Flow Sensor
•
The singlejet technology of the flow sensor combines
high measuring accuracy with long term stability. The
impeller is connected to the counter by a magnetic
coupling. The flow sensor has a sieve on the inlet to stop
particles from entering the measuring chamber.
Interfaces
•
S110 water meters can be retrofitted with the TMP-F
clip on communication module for remote readout
applications. The TMP-F module provides M-Bus and
pulse out options. Both options can be operated in
parallel. The module is clipped onto the meter in the field
and can be fitted at any time, also when the meter is
already operating. The module is supplied ready to use.
Programming is required in case default values should
be changed.
M-Bus / pulse out combination module
•
M-Bus / pulse out combination module: The M-Bus /
pulse out combination module has cables for wiring to
an M-Bus and to a pulse counter. The M-Bus module is
according to EN13757-3 with primary and secondary
addressing. Programming is done via the M-Bus master.
M-Bus address changes are done with the M-Bus
master configuration software, for example MBConf.
Pulse module configuration is also done via the M-Bus
TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
Keep parts in their original packaging and unpack them
shortly before use.

INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Setup requirements
Flow Data
•
Calming legs before or after S110 water meters are not
required unless the meter is installed before or after a
pump or motorised valve. In that case a calming leg
of 5 x DN is required in front of or of 3 x DN behind
the meter.
•
All sizes may be installed in both horizontal and vertical
position.
•
S110 water meters must be installed with dial facing upwards or sidewards but not beneath the horizontal
plane.
•
Avoid installation at highest point of system or system
part as air may be trapped in meter
•
It is recommended to place a valve before and after the
meter for easy replacement.
•
During measurement meter must be completely filled
with water

Sizing
•
S110 water meters should be selected in such a way that
permanent system flow rates are between transition
flow rate (Q2) and permanent flow rate (Q3)
•
The flow rate may not drop below minimum (Q1) or
exceed overload flow rate (Q4) at any time
