1. What do French's Point couples want for their wedding?

and outdoor event spaces, and a simply beautiful, natural aesthetic to be enjoyed in the company of their friends and family.

though events that are tailored to suit their visions afforded by the ability to hand-select their vendors.

2. What is French's Point Estate?
ANSWER: French's Point is a private estate that offers its' entire venue to include the estate house, tent, lodging and beautiful waterfront
grounds exclusively to you for your day to allow ample time for your private wedding event.
Our "blank canvas" wedding venue affords you the opportunity to select your own vendor partners (catering, bar, florals, photography, etc.). As
a result, your celebration will provide unique experiences for you and your guests to enjoy together in a private setting.
French's Point Estate offers beautiful Arts & Crafts-style ballrooms, foyer bar and restrooms on the main level, as well as the perfect
Bridal Boudoir and Relaxation Room for wedding party preparation on the upper level. You can also enjoy a complimentary stay in our
luxury Wedding Suite.
The naturally landscaped grounds of the Estate include a variety of event spaces as well: the Cobblestone Cocktail Terrace, Sweeping Lawn,
Promenade, Waterfront Gazebo and Bluff Walk. During high season (May - October), you are invited to make use of our grand Sailcloth
Tent. Designed to recall Maine's maritime heritage, it incorporates wood-like "mast" poles, a full stone floor, clear sidewalls and perimeter
lighting.
This stunning, party-ready venue can host intimate gatherings of thirty guests and larger fetes of up to three hundred guests.

3.What does it cost to use French's Point Estate for my wedding celebration?
ANSWER: French’s Point hosts celebrations year round, any day of the week. The cost is dependent on the duration of use and the month in
which the event occurs. Please see the French’s Point Value Guide for complete details.
4. What are the hours of access to the Estate?
ANSWER: Your access to the Estate is dependent on the wedding package you choose:
Friday Wedding Package
• Friday 9am until Midnight
Saturday Wedding Package
• Saturday 9am until Midnight
Sunday Wedding Package
• Sunday 10am until 10pm
NOTE: In order to comply with sound ordinance requirements, all guest activity must be limited to inside the Estate House by 10pm on Friday & Saturday and by 9pm on Sunday.
Guest departure is required by 11pm on Friday & Saturday and 10pm on Sunday. Vendors must depart no later than Midnight on Friday & Saturday and 11pm on Sunday.
5. Can we secure additional days of access to the Estate outside what is offered in
the package we select to make a full weekend celebration?
ANSWER: Yes! If you choose the Saturday Wedding Package are welcome to:
• Add optional Friday access from 5pm - 10pm for your rehearsal dinner event
• Add optional Sunday access from 8am - Noon for your farewell brunch event.
Please contact the French's Point Sales Office for additional details. We cannot extend the hours beyond the sound ordinance
restriction and our curfew.
6. Can we select our own caterer?
ANSWER: Yes! Cuisine service is not limited to the providers on our preferred vendor list. You can choose your own caterer provided they
have liability insurance and proper licensing. Caterers have the use of the catering service tent attached to our sail
cloth tent.

7. Can we supply our own alcohol, beer & wine?
ANSWER: Yes! This will provide you with a significant savings for your event. To do so, you must obtain host liquor liability insurance
for $1,000,000 of coverage, which can be done online at theeventhelper.com if it is not offered through your caterer. It can also be
obtained as a rider on your home owners insurance policy. For the safety of your guests and to protect you from liability, you need to hire a
professional bartending service for your event or engage your caterer to provide bartending service, serve & clear glassware, and set up and
clean up your bar service areas. A maximum of 6 hours of bar service is permitted in compliance with Maine State Liquor Laws. Your bar
service providers must be contracted to remain at French's Point until the bar is cleaned up and your guests have all departed because they
are responsible for the safety of your guests and their conduct.
8. Where can we store our kegs, wine and wedding cake?
ANSWER: French’s Point has a walk in cooler available for your use to store your catering goods, bar provisions, wedding cake, and
flowers.
9. How many guests can French’s Point Estate accommodate for events?
ANSWER: French's Point can comfortably host events as small as 30 guests and as large as 300 guests. There are many different event
spaces available for your events.
10. Where can we source rental provisions for our event?
ANSWER: You can source these items through your catering provider, Event Planner, or Wallace Events.
11. Do we have to clean up after our events?
ANSWER: French’s Point Estate will be cleaned between your events at a convenient time scheduled with the General Manager after
your personal effects have been removed. French’s Point is not responsible for cleaning up after cuisine & beverage service, rentals and
other items not provided by French’s Point. Your caterer and/or bar provider must provide this service before the end of your access period
and remove the trash related to the event. You must remove your personal effects fro the Estate before the end of your access period and
relocate them to the designated main level storage space. These items must be removed by 9am the following day. Refrigerated items left
in the walk in cooler must be removed the following day by 9am as well.
12. Can you hold a date for us?
ANSWER: French’s Point does not hold dates without a reservation. Dates are available on a first come, first served basis. Reservation of
your date is official once your contracts and deposit have been received. We are happy to provide you with our availability for dates you are
considering.

13. Do you have a list of preferred vendors for our event and do we have to use
them?
ANSWER: We do have a Preferred Vendor Guide to help you with the planning of your celebration. We have had exceptional experience
working with these vendors in the past. The list includes a full range of providers for your wedding day. You are welcome to work with vendors
not included on this list or suggested by your event planner, provided they have liability insurance and proper licensing.
14. Can we decorate French’s Point Estate for our event?
ANSWER: You are welcome to decorate for your celebration. However, French’s Point must approve all decorations prior to installation.
Decorations must be free standing. The use of nails, push-pins, screws, staples, tacks or tapes are prohibited on any surface within the facility.
Rice, birdseed, paper confetti and dance wax are prohibited. French’s Point offers a wonderful range of suggested providers for decorating and
event design services. Tent lighting must be provided by Wallace Events. Damages resulting from the use of prohibited decorations are your
responsibility and will be deducted from the $1,500 Refundable Damage Deposit. Decorations and rentals must be removed from the Estate
by the end of your access period or overtime staffing charges will be applicable. These items can be moved to the main level storage area until
9am the following day.
15. Can we use sparklers, fireworks, or floating lanterns?
ANSWER: Fireworks can be provided exclusively by Central Maine Pyrotechnics. Due to the proximity of the sail cloth tent to the shoot site
for fireworks, French’s Point assesses a $1,500 Post Fireworks Cleanup Fee to clean the tent after fireworks displays. To ensure the safety of
your guests, the neighboring homes and wooded State Preserve bordering French’s Point, as well as insurance restrictions and Maine State
Law, sparklers and floating lanterns are prohibited at both French’s Point Estate and Beach Rose Farm.
16. Can I have my dog in my wedding?

Yes you can! French's Point is pet riendly, but i you decide to have your pooch be a part of your big day, you must:

Keep the dog on a leash at all times
Have a person designated as a handler for the dog at all times
The dog must be up to date on all vaccinations
The dog must be friendly and not pose a danger to your guests and our staff
All pet waste must be removed
Additionally, if you choose to have a dog stay at Beach Rose Farm, you must:
• Pay a non-refundable $250 Pet Cleaning Fee per dog
• Must not stake or tie the dog and leave it unattended
• Agree to remove the dog from the property should it become a nuisance
