Youth Knight at GNHS – Friday, September 4th
Friday, September 4th is Youth Knight at Grayslake North High School. Colts, Jr. Knights and Lake Villa
Timberwolves will be in attendance. Let’s make Colts the biggest youth organization represented! Football will
meet in the North end zone at 6PM. Football players should wear their white Colts Jersey. Cheer and
Dance will be meeting in the field house at 5:30 PM. Please have the ladies in their full uniform including
unifit. We will watch the weather during the week and if we need to adjust for the unifit we will let you know.
Safety First Please
We wanted to remind everybody to please drive responsibly to and from all Colts events including practices,
games, and competitions. We have already received a few questions about drivers that appear to be speeding in
the parking area and access road near Central Park & the Aquatic Center. The safety of our athletes, coaches,
TC’s, junior coaches, board members, families, and friends MUST be a priority for all of us.
With that in mind, please remember that parking for Central Park is allowed ONLY in designated areas and
does NOT include the nearby residential areas. Please park at Central Park’s “circle drive”, the Aquatic Center,
Grayslake Middle School, or Grayslake Central High School for ALL events held at either Central Park or The
Aquatic Center Field. As parking is limited, please make sure to allow enough time to find parking in an
appropriate area. Thank you!
Football News
Game scheduling has started but has NOT yet been confirmed for week #1 (08/29 & 08/30). As soon as
TCYFL Officials finalize & confirm their schedule we will post and notify your coaches.
Pictures for the remaining football teams – Flyweight, Middleweight and JV are Thursday evening. Please
make sure the players are in their game pants. Jerseys will be passed out at camera time.

Cheer & Dance News
Thank you to our parents for your patience as we continue to work through our choreography routines. We
appreciate your support as we continue our sessions. It will all pay off when our girls are at State!
Pre Season Scrimmages
We wanted to take a moment to thank all of our athletes, coaches, TC’s, junior coaches, families, and friends for
coming out and supporting our preseason scrimmages! It was a beautiful weekend for football - great seeing
everybody and we look forward to a fantastic season!
Northwestern University – TCYFL Days
Football season is upon us! I wanted to follow up and make sure that you have received the flyer for your team
in regarding to our TCYFL Days at Northwestern this football season. TCYFL Days will be September 5 at
11:00 am against Stanford and September 26 at 7:00 pm against Ball State. Tickets start at $15 and each
purchaser receives a Northwestern hat.
The top two teams in TCYFL who sell the most tickets will get to take part in the on field flag presentation
before the Ball State game. Each team has a specific promo code and yours is “GRAYSLAKE”. This promo
code can be used at nusports.com/groups or by giving me a call at 888-467-8775 x7847. Attached is your flyer
and if it could be distributed and posted on your teams website and social media that would be much
appreciated.
Feed My Starving Children – Thank you!
Thank you to the families who came to support us at the FMSC volunteer night. It was a busy evening with the
scrimmages at North and Central High Schools, and we appreciate everyone who turned out. We packed
enough food to feed 61 children for one year!
Concessions Information
As soon as TCYFL scheduling is confirmed and posted, we will be setting up the schedule for concession
volunteering. We use Volunteer Spot which is an online scheduling program. You will be able to click a link
(we will provide when available) and see all of the spots available that we need assistance with each and every
week. We won’t have the entire season posted at once as we are at the mercy of the TCYFL with game
scheduling, but we will post games as soon as we get them. If you have any issues, please email us at

CharityMania Collection Information
Charity Mania is our ONLY fundraiser. We don’t sell candy, cookie dough, wrapping paper, restaurant cards or
other things that every other school and youth program sells – CharityMania is totally unique and provides us
with more profit per ticket sold than any other fundraiser. As a non-profit organization, our registration fees are
set each year with the goal of covering the cost of what it takes for us to put athlete’s on the field – practice
space rental, mats, warm-ups, hair bows, sweatshirts & team shirts, squad gifts, insurance, IRCA fees, storage,
etc. for cheer & dance; equipment, field time, referees, lights, insurance, league fees, etc. for football. All other
revenue comes from concession sales and Charity Mania, which we invest right back into the program for items
such as new uniforms, new and refurbished equipment, coaches bags/field equipment and industrial items such
as refrigerators and freezers at Aquatic concessions, scoreboard upkeep & maintenance, sound systems for
cheer/dance, and many other offerings. We are one of the least expensive programs in the surrounding area, and
we provide more equipment for our football players for the money than any other town. We are also one of the
only programs that do not require you to purchase raffle tickets up front and sell them to recoup your

investment – we provide the tickets and ask that you sell 10 per family. This year, with some of our Charity
Mania profits from previous years, we are excited to show you the Colt’s “tunnel” that we have purchased for
the players to be able to run through before each home game! We will have it on the field at practice shortly for
everyone to see – we can’t wait for the kids to be able to use it on game day! We have also had to invest in a
new golf cart for football as our 12+ year old one has finally had to be retired; we hope to have that on the field
soon. Please help us keep registration fees low and program provisions high and sell CharityMania!
We have lots of sales support tools available if you need help on our website. We will also be collecting for
another 4 weeks, so please keep selling!

CharityMania Incentive – Earn $$$ off of 2016 registration!
Our only fundraiser of the year is CharityMania. All profits from CharityMania go straight into the Colts and
are used for helmets, uniforms, equipment and other improvements, which is why we stress participation. This
year, after your first 10 tickets sold, you will receive a Colts license plate frame. Sell 20 tickets and earn $20
off of 2016 registration, and for every addition 10 tickets sold, you continue to earn $20 towards 2016
fees! The top seller from football as well as cheer & dance wins 1 free registration for 2016. If you need
