ITINERARY
Day 1 Wednesday, November 14
Board the cars for a bon voyage cocktail party. Bring the husbands down to help you
get settled in and to tour the three luxury railcars. All non-passengers will have to be
off the cars by 10:30 p m. as our engine and crew prepare to depart for Cincinnati’s
Union Terminal.

Shop ‘til you drop!
Day 2 Thursday, November 15
At approximately 3:00 a.m., our crew will attach our cars to the rear portion of
the Amtrak train coming from Washington D.C.. on it’s way to Chicago. Heavy
sleepers will not even know this has occurred. By the time most of our passengers wake
up we will be nearing Chicago’s Union Station. Breakfast will be served on board
prior to our arrival into Chicago somewhere around 11:00 a.m. Upon arrival, as the
cars are being positioned by Amtrak, we will have all of our passengers disembark so as
to shuttle them as fast as we can to the downtown shopping area. Lunch and Dinner on
this day are on your own at a restaurant of your choice in downtown Chicago.
Day 3 Friday, November 16
Breakfast will be served before you leave the railcars. So as to allow for a full day of shopping, Lunch and Dinner in downtown Chicago is again on your own. We will shuttle you
back to the railcars for a relaxing evening before yet another hectic day of shopping occurs.
Day 4 Saturday, November 17
Following Breakfast on board, our shuttle van will again deliver you to the Magnificent Mile. You can again use this day for unlimited shopping, or you may elect
to visit some of Chicago’s world class museums and attractions. Lunch will be on your
own. Dinner on board your luxury railcars will be served as Amtrak prepares our
cars for movement back to Cincinnati. Because of this preparation by Amtrak it is
imperative that all passengers be back on board by 5:45 p.m. Our shuttle driver will
insure you make it back to the proper location. Our departure from Chicago is 7:45
p.m. Watching the skyline of Chicago melt into the distance from the dome area of
the Vista dome as we head south toward home is truly one of the highlights of private
railroad travel.
Day 5 Sunday, November 18
We arrive at Cincinnati’s Union Terminal approximately 5:00 a.m. Again, our
switch engine will return us promptly to our original departure site where our guests will
be free to wake up at their leisure prior to departure from the railcar. A light Breakfast
will be served.

PLANNED ACTIVITIES
Roundtrip fares from $850/person for roomettes to $1,000/person for double bedrooms, depending on which of the five levels of accommodations
you choose. Most rooms are double bedrooms with upper and lower births.
some single roomettes are available as well as a limited number of full size
beds in suites designed for two people. All rooms have sinks and toilets but
most share a common shower. A few rooms have private showers.

This is a “Girls Only” trip. Mothers, Daughters, Sisters,
or just good friends can join us as we travel from Cincinnati to Chicago for a three-day “shop ‘til you drop” weekend
on Chicago’s famed Magnificent Mile. We will have
Warm 98 Personalities, and Mitchell’s Salon stylists
on board for makeovers, haircuts and highlights!
The private cars Vista-Dome, Oliver Hazard Perry,
and Birch Grove will serve as your rolling hotel as we travel from Cincinnati to Chicago’s Union Station. With over
32 beds to choose from, our five levels of accommodations
offer passengers a wide array of choices. You will be free to
roam through all three cars, into the dome, luxury lounges,
two dining areas, or just relax in your private bedroom.
Your hostess will be Birch Grove owner Vicky Collins.
She, along with our professional staff will insure your
shopping extravaganza comes off without a hitch. We
will have a courtesy shuttle van available to drop you off
in downtown Chicago following an onboard breakfast and
then pick you up after you’ve had dinner, on your own, at
the restaurant of your choice in the downtown area.
We will insure that we will have plenty of extra room to
store all of the treasures you purchase during your three
