TMW 650
The Tank Manager Windows 650 (TMW
650) is the most versatile automatic
tank gauge management system on
the market today. The TMW 650 is a
permanently installed inventory and leak
detection system for underground and
above ground storage tanks. The TMW
650 ATG technology exceeds all EPA
standards as verified by third parties.
The system consists of an electronic
console, in-tank probes for liquid level
sensing, and optional sump/interstitial
sensors, brine sensors and vapor
sensors. The system provides graphic
display of the data for current status, alarms, inventory control and tank leak detection on
your PC monitor.
The information is displayed in easy-to-read graphic and text formats. The TMW 650
console contains all of the electronics for tank probes, sump and interstitial sensors and
vapor sensors. All data and the time of day clock are battery backed in case of power
failure. Unlimited accessibility: network, internet, serial, and modems are all supported by
the TMW650. Access to and from the other equipment at your site (POS, back office, site
controller, etc.). The combination of tank testing, and inventory monitoring completes the
loop for total site data collection and analysis.
Simmons has developed the revolutionary TMW650 Windows-based tank manager
which virtually eliminates the need to install excessive hardware to manage your
underground fuel tanks. Simmons is driving the costs out of the tank managers
and putting the customer back in control of their information and hardware. This
also allows our customer to focus on their critical data, not on costly repairs and down
time of unnecessary hardware. Simmons is the first in the industry to capitalize on
simplifying the tank manager. Simmons uses the processing power that is already on site
to run its software so the need for costly equipment is eliminated. Simmons has made
tank management affordable again while giving you faster processing power to get to your
data quickly and easily.
Once you experience all that Simmons has to offer, you’ll see why we lead the industry in solutions
to your fuel tank management and compliance issues.

Fuel SIRveillance Module (FSM)
Product Overview
The perfect solution for quickly gathering
data you need to manage your consigned
fuel inventory as well as audit price changes.
Accurate, on time delivery of the information
you need delivered to your desktop.
Simmons Fuel SIRveillance Module (FSM)
is designed as a low cost solution for data
gathering at company-owned and dealer
sites. Very simply installed between the
printer and the POS system, the Simmons
FSM acquires data associated with all the
activities of interest at the site, based on
your specific needs. Ideal for consigned fuel
situations. The FSM can operate in active
and passive modes while collecting data. Typical units accessed by the Simmons FSM include
the Point of Sale system and automatic tank gauge (ATG) systems. The information is then
sent to the Simmons data center utilizing a toll-free number. This unique method allows your
headquarters staff to have complete and current knowledge of each site for fast, accurate
decision making. This allows daily EFT drafting on consigned fuel accounts, integration to your
accounting package, price change audit as well as custom reporting. The most simple,

The Simmons Fuel SIRveillance Module (FSM) is an ideal fit for any convenience store
owner who manages one or more stores and would like to monitor any site managers or
store operations from his or her personal PC. The basic function of the FSM is to collect
the daily fuel sales and the daily fuel tank levels and compile that data by specific “time
stamp”. The FMS then delivers those figures in several easy to use Simmons report
formats. These daily reports are delivered to the store owner or any other desired
personnel via email.

Liquid Sensor
Principles of Operation: The Tank Manager liquid sensor is designed to detect
the presence of liquids in containment sumps, the interstitial space of doublewalled piping, double-walled tanks, and other places that are normally dry. The
sensor is positioned in the space at the depth where it should alarm. It can be
positioned vertically or horizontally. It will
alarm when liquid is present from one end
of the sensor tube to the other. It is an
ultrasonic sensor, and works by
transmitting a sound pulse which travels to
the opposite end of the sensor and
bounces back. This is detected at the
Tank Manager console. If the space is
dry, no reflection appears. The sensor
is non-destructive and recovers as soon
as liquid is removed. It discriminates
between gasoline products and water. The sensor is 3/4" by 3" long. The sensor
can be used with cable runs of up to 400 feet or with a multiplexer.
Installation: The liquid sensor can be wired directly to an unused channel (no intank probe attached) at the Tank Manager Console using home run cable or it can
be wired using a multiplexer which allows several sensors plus an in-tank probe to
hook up to one TM channel. Direct installation is described below. To install using a
multiplexer, see the Multiplexer Installation sheet.
Applications: The liquid sensor is installed in the interstitial space of double wall
tanks, containment sumps, piping sumps, dispenser sumps, and other places to
monitor for the presence of liquids and fuel leaks.
