Rules
1. TheRebelCupisanannualphotographycompetitionandexhibitionopentoall
cameraclubsandsocietiesinCountyCork.
2. Tocompete,aclubmustsubmitapaneloftenprints.Anymixtureofcolour
and/ormonochromeprintsisadmissible.
3. Eachclubmustpresenttheworkoftendifferentphotographers.No
photographermayhavemorethanoneimageontheirclub’spanel.
4. Allimagesshownonapanelmustbetheworkofregisteredmembersofthe
competingclub.
5. Allimagesusedinthecompetitionmustbetheoriginalworkoftheauthor.
6. Theoverallaward(TheRebelCup)willbepresentedtotheclubwiththehighest
overallscore.Individualawardsmayalsobepresented.
7. Maximummountsizeis50cmx40cm(20x16inches).Alltheprintsoneach
panelmustbecontainedwithintheareaofthedisplayboard2.4mx1.2m(8ftx
4ft).Printsoutsidethisareawillnotbejudged.
8. Printsmaynotbemountedonblock-board,chipboardorsimilarmaterials,orbe
presentedinframes,withorwithoutglass.Suchprintswillnotbedisplayed.
9. Scoringinthecompetitionshallbeonthebasisoftheofficialscoresheet
approvedbyTheOrganisers.Eachjudgewillscoreindependently.Resultsshall
bebasedontheaggregatescoresgivenbyalljudges.
10. Eachclubisresponsiblefordisplayingtheirownpanelsonthedisplayboards
providedbyTheOrganisersonthemorningofthecompetitionasperthe
publishedschedulepriortotheevent.
11. Theentryfeemustbepaidbeforethepublishedclosingdate.
12. Entrytothiscompetitionisviaemailtoccgcompetitions@gmail.com.Youwill
needtoprovidethefollowinginformationwhenentering:
• Nameofclub
• Email&contactnumberfortheclubcontactforthiscompetition
• Digitalcopiesofalltenprints(2400pixelslongestedge,jpgquality10)
• Imagetitleandphotographer’snameforeachimage
• Acopyofclub’slogo
• Atextfilewithinformationabouttheirclubforexhibitiontoinclude:
o Whenitwasformed
o Whereitmeets
o Numberofmembers
o Clubgoals/missionstatement
o Otherinformationyoumaywithtoinclude
13. Eachprintmustcarrythenameoftheauthorandclubonreverse.
14. Theimagesmustbedisplayedintheorderinwhichtheyarelistedontheentry
form.
15. Theorganisersshallnotberesponsibleforlossordamagetoentries.
16. Awardsandresultswillbeannouncedondayofcompetition
17. Byparticipatinginthecompetition,clubsagreetoalsoparticipatein
correspondingexhibition.Printswillbereturnedfollowingtheconclusionofthe
exhibition.
18. TheOrganisersreservetherighttopublishanyimageenteredinTheRebelCup,
withdueacknowledgementandwithoutpaymentofafee,forthepurposesof
promotingtheevent.Thisincludes,butisnotlimitedto,useontheOrganisers
website.Thecopyrightofallsuchimagesremainswiththeirrespectiveauthors.
19. Thejudges’decisionisfinalandnodiscussionofthatdecisionshallbeentered
into.Itisnotpermissibletopubliclydisputethejudges’decisionorcommentat
anytimeduringthecompetition,uptoandincludingtheawardsceremony.
Breachofthisrulebyamemberofaclubmayleadtodisqualificationofthat
club’sentry.
20. Theresultsofthecompetitionwillbeannouncedonthedayofthecompetition.
Presentationofawardswillimmediatelyfollowtheannouncement.
21. Entryintothecompetitionshallbedeemedtobeacceptanceoftherulesofthe
competitionandexhibition.
