Bundle Performance Task(s)
Students will create a Power Point presentation over a poet. Students will use the internet to research the poet’s life, the poet’s accomplishments, analysis of a
poem, and an influence on the poet to include in the presentation. For example, a student could choose to research Edgar Allan Poe. The information about his life
could include his birth/death, education, family life, etc. His accomplishments could include writing over 50 poems and several short stories. One poem that could
be analyzed is “The Bells”. Finally, an influence on Edgar Allan Poe could be the rich family who took him in. Additionally, students will create a works cited slide.
Upon completing the power point, students will present to the class. A possible assessment rubric is provided in the Appendix under Curriculum for each
Performance Task.
