Maths: For maths, spend some time practising your times tables facts. Remember you need to
be able to recall random facts quickly, count confidently in steps of a number and solve related
division facts (eg What is 4X3=
3,6,9 etc
What is 15 divided by 3?) 2X, 5X and 10X you
should know really well. You also need to know 3X, 4X and 8X (for a challenge). Remember
games like Hit the Button or other times tables apps are good for testing your speed.
Spellings:
Our words this week are all from the HOT HUNDRED list of tricky words for years 3 and 4.
Please make sure you learn all 8 words.

Reminders: We will only be giving small maths and spelling tasks for the next two weeks to give you
time to work on your project to make something for the Ancient Egyptian class museum (see letter
sent home). This is due in on Monday 6th February. Also don’t forget Ancient Egypt dress up day on
Friday 3rd February.
