ITINERARY
12th January 2017
Arrive into Kiruna Airport and take your transfer through to the beautiful wilderness of Bjorkliden. Settle
into your hotel room and relax. This evening you will meet up with the rest of the group enjoying the
festival and enjoy a delicious welcome dinner in Restaurant Lapporten. After dinner you will head out
for your first incredible Aurora Hunt with expert photographer and guide - Chad Blakely. As part of this
trip you will enjoy a lesson on how to best capture the lights on camera.
13th January 2017
Enjoy breakfast this morning before spending the morning with all the experts enjoying lectures
regarding the Aurora, what causes it and the science behind it. You will also get chance to take part in
some interesting and exciting hands-on experiments too! Afternoon free to enjoy your surroundings and
relax or you could consider adding an extra activity like dog sledding? (subject to availability and
additional cost) Tonight you will head up high into the mountains by cable car and enjoy a visit to the
world famous Aurora Sky Station with expert guide and renowned Aurora chaser - Chris Nation from
Aurora Addicts.
14th January 2017
Another morning of learning all about the Aurora and taking part in more experiments. Afternoon at
leisure or you could add another activity (subject to availability and additional cost). 15th January 2017
After a farewell breakfast with all your fellow travellers and guides you will check out and take your
transfer to Kiruna Airport.
If you would like to extend this trip there are a range of pre and post tours available. Speak to your

Through specialist activities and talks the Aurora Festival 2017 will allow novice and enthusiasts of the Northern
Lights to get a better understanding about the research
behind the magical Aurora. A range of special guests
from across the Arctic region have been invited and
additional Arctic activities* such as dogsledding,
snowmobiling and snowshoe hikes will also be possible
making this a great value and very unique Northern
Lights Tour which is perfect as a tour on it's own or as
part of a longer tour in the region.
Prices of this tour start from £1079 per person based on 1
adult travelling on a full board basis including all
activities mentioned and transfers (excluding flights).
