Fast Facts 2018
for future undergraduate students
This publication includes a summary of our undergraduate degrees,
South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC) codes, entry
scores and requirements to assist in choosing preferred degrees.
June
2017
edition
Bonus points: two bonus point schemes are in place, these
are the Universities Languages, Literacy and Mathematics
Bonus scheme and the Universities Equity Scheme. For more
information please visit www.adelaide.edu.au and search
‘bonus points’.
Location: all degrees are taught at the North Terrace campus
except where indicated in the notes.
Part-time study: all degrees can be studied part-time except
the Bachelors of Science (Veterinary Bioscience),
Dental Surgery, Oral Health, and Medicine and Surgery.
Deferred study: all degrees can be deferred for up to two years.
English language requirements for undergraduate entry:
international students who have completed an Australian year
12 qualification (except IB students) and who wish to gain entry
into the University of Adelaide, must have studied a recognised
English subject (visit international.adelaide.edu.au/apply,
select ‘Admissions Information’ and then ‘English Language
Requirements’ for a list) and have achieved a pass grade in
this subject. An acceptable English language proficiency test
may be arranged only for students who complete the subject
without achieving a pass grade.
Successful completion of the International Baccalaureate (IB)
Diploma meets the English language requirements.
CSP: Commonwealth-supported place (domestic students
only). Places that are partially funded by the Australian
government meaning that students are only left to pay the
remainder of the fees through a ‘student contribution’ amount.
ATAR: Australian Tertiary Admission Rank, this is normally
used to determine merit to entry into degrees.

Adelaide
Approved
Forget about variable cut off scores—
get in with Adelaide Approved.
A wide range of University of Adelaide programs
have an entry score that is set in advance known
as the Adelaide Approved score. It’s simple and
straightforward: just select the program as your
first preference, meet the subject prerequisites,
achieve the required ATAR and you’re in!
If you think you’ll get below the Adelaide
Approved score don’t stress! You will still be
considered for a place through the usual SATAC
offer process.
If you’re eligible for bonus points, we will use your
adjusted ATAR for selection.
For more information visit www.adelaide.edu.au
and search ‘Adelaide Approved’.
