World History Honors Exam 1 Neolithic Revolutions These are short answer essays. You should have two
to three paragraphs written for each of the TWO questions you choose. Make sure you have a thesis
and support it in your essay
1. Was the Neolithic Revolution truly a “revolution”? Think about which ways it changed the
human condition while how long it actually took. If you do not know the definition of
revolution…look it up!!!! You need to analyze at least one argument for and one against.
Choose a position and it should reflect in your thesis.
2. Why did Mesopotamian kings and queens seek to lead BOTH governments and religions?
3. Compare two river valley civilizations. Use as the basis of your comparisons, one of the
following:
Political systems (governments)
Religious Systems
Trade
Use of the environment
4. Why are law codes essential to the rise and/or success of city-states in Mesopotamia?
