Operations:
Emergency practices are scheduled for us this year. Some of the practices done thus far are
a fire drill on Sept. 14th which went very well. Our Lockdown was Sept. 21st and we will have
a relocation practice this week. The actual relocation will take place on Oct. 7 as we walk to
St. James Church which is our relocation site for Thanksgiving dinner.
We have new mirrors in all the washrooms. New toilets were delivered to the school for
installation sometime this year.
We again put in a work order to have the exterior of the school painted. We are hoping to get
some help from our local MLA on a timeline.
Michelle Howell and Ms. Bouliane are working on grants for playground upgrades.
Other:
Meet the Teacher and Ice Cream social was a complete success. We saw many of our school
community members that evening.
There will be professional development for teachers on Friday, Sept. 30th.
Our hot lunch program is up and running every day and our Breakfast Program will start in the
very near future.
Our grade 6 students will become a leadership team this year. Some of the things they will be
doing are delivering lunch trays, primary class helpers and school announcements.
