Trammell in behalf of securing better provisions
for women prisoners.

for the Infant welfare Bureau.
"Clean up week" was celebrated
March 4th to 12th, held a baby show at Bethel Bapt·
Church, awarding the most perfect babies with
prizes.
"Baby week" celebrated March 4th - 11th.
Cooperated with White Woman's Club
Free Clinic held at their club building on E. Duval
St., Dr. Brandley in charge.
Placed slides in public places appealing to men
to pay their pole taxes and register so as to be
qualified to vote.
Gave prizes to the Stanton school to the pupil who
wrote the best essay on the house fly; the satne
was won by Master John Thompson
Interceeded about proper and better drainaga and
good roads in colored sections.
Established a Social Study Class, Dr. J. E. Ford,
Teacher.
Held a number of public mass meetings
Held metnorial services and sent floral pieces and
telegrams to the late Dr. Booker T. Washington
and the late Dr. M. C. B. Mason
A committee and convention address Duval County
Commissioners in behalf of securjng prisoners out
in stockade, better ventilation and a chapel where
religious services can be held.
Secured the indorsement of the play ground committee of the city for colored play ground. Sight
was selected: and the city has an appropiation for
the sarrie.
Laid cornor stone for the new building of Edward
Waters College in memory of the late Bishop
Moore, April 27th 1916.
