This year’s theme, “The Essence of New Orleans”, recognizes the importance of arts, music and culture in building community character, enhancing economic vitality, community engagement and participation. The gala will recognize the contributions of individuals and key institutions dedicated to strengthening cultural values and preserving the heritage of some of New Orleans most celebrated and revered customs. The Annual Gala is a signature fundraising event in support of Urban League programs that focus on early childhood education, college and career readiness, workforce and economic development, educational leadership and reform initiatives, policy and advocacy.
