Héliski/Boarding originated in Chile from the initiative of
a Frenchman named Beb Echene. Pro-rider himself, Beb
introduced the snowboard to Chile in 1989. In 1991, he
started to open the first tracks in the central area of the
Chilean Andes.
As the foundator and Director of the Valle Nevado Snowboard School from 1991 – 2002, he then developed the
Heliski/boarding activity in Chile by bringing Pro Teams,
Shooting crew and the first clients. In 2003, he created the
first Heliski/Boarding company in Chile.
His twenty years of experience in these mountains has made
him the most experienced and skilled guide to introduce pro
and passionate skiers/snowboarders to the undiscovered,
breathtaking rides of this imposing mountain range.
In 2007, we began riding the Patagonian volcanoes from the
amazing luxury Yacht “Atmosphere”. Andes H
­ eliboarding
and Nomads Of the Seas decided to join their skills and
­offer a Grande Class Service to the Heliski passionates and
­adrenaline lovers. Andes Heliboarding and his team of ­guides
are now revealing their experience and ­professionalism by
offering the best runs and first class service on the majestic
Andes mountain range.

The central area of the Andes cordillera is characterized
by exceptional snowfall conditions and ground profile
for this activity. Because of its continental climate, the
Andes ­receive in winter a unique snowfall assuring a
fresh and dry snow.
The number of descents achieved per day depends of
the skiers level and the physical condition
Our season in the Chilean Central Andes Moutain
­range is from July to September, just by Santiago.
ALL THE VALLEYS OFFERS DROPS AT AN ALTITUDE FLUCTUATING FROM 3800 TO 4500 METERS AND AN
­EXCEPTIONAL 1500 METERS VERTICAL DROPS, OR AS HIGH AS 2400 METERS ACCORDING TO SNOW CONDITIONS.

This Unique Heliski program will allow you
to spend your evenings staying at the best
hotel in the Chilean Capital and your days
will be spent riding in the pristine Andes
mountains!
You are situated 15 minutes by helicopter
from our base in Santiago where you will
reach the first runs and enjoy the amazing
vast mountain. The Plomo and Tupungato
areas are waiting for you to discover its
powder snow and huge terrain.
After skiing, you can take advantages of the

FUTANGUE PARK is a private 34.000 acres natural
reserve located in Chilean northern Patagonia at the
foothills of the Andes Mountains.
Get ready for a journey through breathtaking natural
landscapes, covered by large tracts of virgin forests,
beautiful lakes, imposing mountains and hidden valleys, turquoise waterfalls and rivers, and spectacular
lava fields.
This extreme and remote land, impenetrable in the
past, today has an extensive network of more than
70 miles of carefully designed trails that invites
­visitors to explore and enjoy pristine nature far from
crowds, like nowhere else.
Futangue, which in native lenguage means „big
­canyon“ is a place for all kinds of outdoor experiences: trekking, wildlife observation, mountain
biking, horseback riding, kayaking, ATV excursions,

adventures you can find here, while you stay in our

Safety is first and foremost to our Heliski / boarding operation. Our specialists skiing and snowboarding guides
have the skills and abilities to provide
you with an exciting, safe and unforgettable trip to the Andes Cordillera.
Gaining ­extensive knowledge of the
vast terrain that we cover, the guide
is able to select the right terrain for
your ­ability.
Our safety infrastructure provides you
with an unsurpassed level of safety
and service. Guides are well trained
in avalanche hazard evaluation and
control, route selection, weather analysis, e
­ mergency first aid, mountain
survival, rescue and ski instruction
techniques. Radio repeaters give us
voice communication throughout the
­Heliski area. Snowpack and weather
are analysed ­daily and forecasts made
accordingly, with slope ­a ssessment
conducted prior to skiing.
HELICOPTER & PILOT
GUIDE CERTIFICATION

Andes Heliboarding uses the following
helicopters – Ecureuil AS 350 B3 and
Bell 407. Each helicopter counts with a
GPS, Satellite phone, VHF or UHF radio
and is in permanent communication
with the base and the pilot. First aid,
oxygen and rescue equipment are
always on board.
All of our pilots are highly experienced
in high ­m ountain flying conditions
and were all trained by the Chilean
Air Force. They have thousands of
hours of flight experience.
Over twenty year of
operation has ­honed
the skills of our professional and dedicated team. They are
certified and qualified
professional UIAGM and formed by
E.N.S.A (National School of Ski and
Alpinism) Chamonix, France.
They are chosen for their ability to
provide you with an exciting and
memorable Heliski / boarding experience. In addition to their technical
qualifications, they have strong interpersonal and communication skills
and a genuine love of the sport of
skiing. Languages spoken by our
guides include English, French, Spanish, Russian and Portuguese.
For safety reason, the heliski day will end
around 3:00 pm.
In the field all of our guests are equipped
with an ABS airbag pack (Bagpack Freeride) with Avalanche transceiver, shovel,
probes and receive a comprehensive safety briefing in their use before skiing and
riding commences. Before leaving the DZ
your guide and pilot will also brief you on
safety in and around the helicopter.
